We are regulars to the Grand properties but this was our first visit to the grand in the Dom Rep,every thing was superb again from the minute we arrived and met Carlos our butler who had arranged our dinner and room requests together with a pre written letter for the chefs outlining my eating allergies.I would like to reitterate the butlers are there for you if you want anything. they will sort it but are not in your face 24/7.
The rooms are smaller than Jamaica and Mexico,but still functional,the maid service was very good,the fridge was always kept full with our reqested drinks, and we used the room service which again was up to standard.
The waiters in the lobby bar kept our glasses full,but i have to recommend to the Iberostar management a large ceiling fan would be a very functional extra,on a couple of nights we went to the show earlier than advertised just because the theatre had AC.
The gardens are exceptional and a big thanks to the team of hard working gardeners.
We liked the Surf and Turf restaurant the best,they catered for my needs.
Overhaul our holiday was very good and i would like to thank Mr Rodriquez and his team of very dedicted staff for the experience,i would like to mention the following staff members who just did that bit extra for my family,
Leidy who brought the drinks around the pool,became a friend to us all,she actually shed a tear or two when we left.
Yudesi,The little pregnant lady who was the hostess at the surf & Turf.
Leandro,The waiter at breakfast and also at the Surf & Turf
Michel,Star Friend who sadly we did not have the chance to say goodbye before we left.
Contrary to what some people write on trip Advisor this is definately a 5 star All Inclusive experience,if you can find better please advise me.
