I traveled to many places with my family. However, this "resort/hotel" is the worst place I ever stayed at. Although, the grounds are beautiful, it does not make up for anything else. First off, the hotel overbooks. My family and I had to fight for a room believe it or not! We were not the only guests fighting for a room. After three hours of the hotel blaming the travel agency we finally recieved a room. One cannot relax anywhere this hotel is so overcrowed. Except of course, in ones room.The service is awful. The hotel is understaffed in all areas. The food at the buffet was terrible and also the at food the restaurants. So, it does not make a difference where you eat. Finally, the guest are fighting for the huts on the beach. I mean fighting! Calling managers, security, screaming etc. Not a pleasant place to stay. Find somewhere else to stay.I am not kidding! You'll be sorry if you do even though it's a 4to5 star hotel.

My boyfriend and I just returned from our vacation in Punta Cana. There is only so much I can say about the Grand Flamenco, it's one of those things you have to see and experience to believe.
The beach can only be described by one word, "perfection." White sand and turquoise water, it's just like the beaches you see on t.v. The food was excellent. The buffet always had a variety of food. For those who aren't used to Spanish food...of course you might have complaints, because your stomach is not used to that type of food. No need to worry about the water, they have an endless supply of bottled water. As for other drinks, the liquor is great. Though the bar might get crowded sometimes, don't worry they will get to you. Recommended drinks : coco loco and tiky tiky.
We stayed in building 25, which was a 2 minute walk from the beach, and a 3 minute walk to the buffet. No complaints about the room. As long as there was a bed, a toilet, and a shower, we were fine.
There are 4 different pools to choose from, and just like the beach, the water was warm and there was no problem finding a lounge chair.
We had a great time on our vacation. Please don't listen to those bad reviews. If you want every single thing done for you (like having your food chewed for you) then this is not the resort for you! All you have to worry about here is being fed (theres 3 buffets to choose from, so there is no excuse) and having fun. Remember a vacation is as fun as you make it to be.

I have been in many hotels, this is one fo the best. I could not believe, the beautiful reception area. I was greeted with a nice refreshing beverage, the reception desk, very friendly and helpful. I am planning my return trip now. If your the type, that want to stay at the resort, no problem. It is that nice and relaxing,you can actually sleep in, the beach is very nice. They have activities for the children. I cannot say enough good things about this place.

Roofs all leaked especially in the hotel rooms & roof over buffet - well it COLLAPSED in. One of the WORST vacations ever spent money on. But, we have been notified that the repairs have been modified some time in the beginning of 2005.
