I really don't understand how this place could get such high reviews. We have eaten there several times and have consistently been disappointed. We kept going back, wanting to give it another try, to order something different. Burgers are inexpensive (10ec so like $4US/CAN) so we started with those. Soggy, unflavored patty, and sometimes dry bun; the lobster salad sandwhich has had dry bread too). Oh, I had roti there once and that was good. Another time we figured we should order full entrees and maybe those would be better. I was craving Caesar salad so ordered that (I think 35ec, which is the most I've seen for a Caesar salad in Grenada). I was horribly dissapointed! The dressing, which came in a squeeze bottle was NOT normal Caesar--it tasted like watery mayonaise to me. There were little cubes of chicken, I think bacon too? BUT without a dressing it doesn't matter. My husband ordered a fish meal with a side of pasta and vegetables. He said the fish was pretty boring and a bit overcooked. The side was terrible, I thought. Looked like ichiban noodles and canned veggie bits. I am not a picky eater, but I really thought I couldn't swallow the bite I tried; no flavor!
We ordered maccaroni and cheese for our kid, and that was great. Large portion and very cheesy, so that was most of my meal for the night. After that meal we said 'No More!" We've boycotted Le Chateau, except for the bar. The bar is great, we've had tasty mixed drinks and beers here, with no complaints.
The restaurant itself looks great! It recently (Jan or Feb) moved locations to behind the Grand Anse Shopping Centre, so the building is brand new and well laid out and decorated. There is outdoor seating as well as indoor, and some couches too. The service is quite good also, people are very friendly. HOWEVER, if you're going to a restaurant to eat food, I don't believe those pros outweigh the cons of terrible food!
