Robert Nesta Marley's mausoleum is a MUST visit while in Jamaica. The tour guides are so friendly and Mount Zion helps to provide a spiritual experience. 9 Mile satisfied my soul! I will be going back!

Amazing!! This place truely is. We left Negril very early to go and visit 9 Mile, it was a very long journey but every mile was worth it. The drive itself was lovely it was great to see a lot of the island which is beautiful.

We entered the compound through the huge purple gates which were locked behind us. We had seem a guy outside selling ganga and he was wearing a Glasgow Rangers shirt which made us laugh, wish we'd got a picture. We didn't buy any but the joints were massive.

Our tour guide was Fozzy and he was brilliant, after every story he would sing one of Bob's songs. It was really entertaining and interesting.

I would recommend this trip even though I wouldn't be a Bob Marley fan I found the trip very interesting and a great day out. Even the journey there was good as we got to see some or the real Jamaica.

Myself and my 16 year old daughter went to nine miles on a tour in september 07. We had an amazing time. Our bus picked us up from negril and we had a wonderful tour guide who told us all about Jamaica as we drove to nine miles. The views are amazing and we heard lots of tales about the areas we drove through.
At nine miles we were greeted and you feel right at home. Every one is really friendly and always smiling. Our tour guide was a rasta called megastar who had us all laughing from the beginning to the end. He was so interesting that the time flow pass and next thing we had to leave.
Bobs mum was at home and resting so she couldn't come to meet us. She often comes out to greet visitors. The place is so beautiful and very well kept. Bobs spirit is definately felt there and My daughter loved it.
We are going to do it again when we go back. Please do this tour as it is amazing.

I was there on Bob Marley's birthday 2/6/07 (2nd visit). I had the best time ever! I arrived 430ish via private cab from Runaway Bay. The mood was festive, although the band had left, the African Drummers were playing. I sat in the restaurant, looking at the beauty all around me, and drank a Red Stipe as I waited to join Yotto's tour (tour guide with the famous laugh).
Even though I had taken the tour before, I still learn something new. The advantage had this visit was the fact that I had taken a private cab and I was not hustled to be back to the cruise ship, hotel or whatever. I could spend time. I left Nine Mile about 8pm after spending time with the gardner, the painter, and the children of St. Anne. I watched such a breathtaking sunset, that I am still thanking my Heavenly Father for allowing me to be there.

I highly recommend this tour to adult fans of Bob Marley. I say adult fans because youths under age 18 can be exposed to ganja smoking.
