I spent four nights at the Hilton on business in November 2006 and found it a little jaded but a perfectly reasonable place to stay. Having said that - I wasn't paying the bill!
The room was very nice - I was on the 11th floor and had good views over Kingston and was well away from any noise. The only problem I had was the water drainage from the shower. The water itself was a rather dodgy brown colour - ok for a quick shower but the bath drained very slowly leaving an unpleasant muddy residue in the bath. This was not the case with a colleague's room so I suspect it was just unique to mine.
The pool area was pleasant during the day, thought the pool could have done with a little more regular cleaning. At night the pool bar area had a lovely atmosphere - nicely lit and a pleasant place for a drink or two.
The only meal I took at the hotel was breakfast and though there was a wide selection of hot and cold buffet food the restaurant itself was rather cramped and often people had to queue for a table. Not ideal if you are in a rush in the morning!
There was also a decent business centre with internet access - though this was on the pricey side.
Overall I would say it's a bit like other Hiltons that I have stayed in - you know you will have a decent place to stay but it could all do with a bit of an uplift.
