If you are to choose a hotel in Kingston Jamaica for the outward appearance then the Hilton is the one, but because the outward apperance is only a very small percentage of what one is looking for in a hotel the Hilton will definitely be at the bottom of th list.
We stayed at the Hilton Hotel on the last weekend in December and the service was so poor, I will not recomentd it to anyone.

Parking is very limited, you can only get a park if you reserve one with an orange cone . if there was any additonal parking for that hotel, we were not informed.

We were only there for one weekend and had to change keys about 6 times, those keys don't work. Two elevators give guests access to their rooms and if you don't have a key in hand you will definitely get stuck in one of those elevators, which is operated with a key. (elevator malfunction).

One of the worst contenintal breakfast I've had was at the hilton, cold and stale food is what I'm talking about. The breakfast area is too small, can only accomodate two family of four (4) at one time.

Bathrooms are not cleaned, mold and mildew are growing on the walls, taking a bath became a nightmare with those dirty walls around you. The carpet on the floor in the rooms and hallway is very dirty and smelly. We made several complaints to the agents at the front desk who always say I'm sorry and I understand but I'm pretty sure most of these complains don't get to the right people.

I think the people who operate the Hilton Hotel can do far better than they are doing, as for me I cross the Hilton off my list.

1. I think the staff at this location is poorly trained to handle anything other than normal. I booked three(3) nights, each separately and explained the booking at checkin and was asured there would be no problem. However, each day we were locked out of our room because our keys expired. They did not clean the room the second day, claiming we were supposed to check out so the room would not normally be cleaned if we were still hanging around and not check out, ( We had an active credit card on file so all they had to do was give us a clean room and charge us) They again realized they were wrong and flatly said "sorry".
2. The carpet in rooms 310, 312, 308, and 405 are way over worked and need changing. The bathrooms in my room and the room my sister stayed have mold on the tiles and can take a good scrubbing.
3.The comtinental breakfast each day I was there, was stale food carried over from the day before.
4. One of the two(2) elevators had a mind of its own, and and worked whenever it felt like. Over the three(3) days stay I got stucked in it (2) times and had to ring for security who just simply say the card reader dont work sometimes.
5. The parking is terrible, and not enough. If there is added parking elsewhere we were not told and still dont know.
6.I think the four(4) star rating given by hotwire is two(2) stars too many for this place and it is over priced for the level of service and the quality experienced.

On my first trip to Jamaica we decided to hotel hop instead of opting for a resort. So we thought the Hilton was a safe choice being an American hotel that caters for tourists we expected the standard Hilton service/amenities. After our check-in we went up to our room...it was nicely decorated, clean and had a small balcony overlooking the pool/courtyard. The washroom was a whole different story it looked like a washroom from a roadside motel the caulking was VERY DIRTY and rundown but "stayable" for 1 night. The dinner was nice by the poolside with nightly entertainment. The next morning I woke-up early to go for a quick swim and to my surprise the pool was VERY DIRTY so bad that I was scared to take a swim incase I got a rash. It was terribly dirty, not what I would expect from a renowned hotel. Although there was a complimentary buffet breakfast it was cold so my overall impression is that I would NOT RECCOMEND IT!

We were delivered to the Kingston Hilton late in the evening after the long delay and ultimate cancel of an Air Jamaica flight.

We saw three rooms (507, 510, 610) before realizing each one was equally revolting in both the sleeping and bathrooms. The elevators and hallways appeared as if they had hosted a gun battle among visiting Mongol hoards. The dining room was disgusting.

The Kingston (Jamaica) Hilton is filthy and revolting. Stay away.
