Let me begin by saying that the best part of Breezes Montego Bay was and is Donna Philpotts, our wedding coordinator.
She was 100% great in every way and felt huge trust that my wedding would be good and it was.
We had a beach wedding which was lovely. All the decorations were lovely and the pastor was really nice and respectful. Everything we requested was delivered promptly and beyond our expectations thanks to Donna.
The reception hall was nice and a great size for our party of 10. Teh catered food was the best I had while I stayed at the resort and it was perfect for our guests and the event.
Donna even kept in touch with us throughout our stay and gave us newlywed t-shirts as well which were cute.
However the resort itself wasn't very good at all. I've been to many all inclusive resorts that were much better and cheaper. All the staff except the bar always had an attitude and looked at you like you wasting their time.
We tried to get a room upgrade and was denied. Also the elevator was broken half the time and I had to bring my own bag up the stairs to the 4th floor and back down when my wife and I checked out!
The room was tiny and a lil dirty when we first entered. The "Oceanview" we had was terrible and overlooked part of the water. The room had an aweful bleach smell that never seemed to go away and also remained musty and held alot of moisture on the walls. Also every room in the resort also had thin walls so you can hear every bit of noise coming from all directions from cleaning people dusting to construction from the outside. There was always noise at every time of the day. Also my brother had booked a separate room and had to use ear plugs to block the sound. Also his A/C was leaking water all over his clothes in the closet !
Also water sports staff was the worst of all. Since when is a hobbie cat ride the same as sailing the same as anything. They had HUGE ATTITUDES and never worked, always lazy and talking among themselves.
One of my biggest problem as well was the fact that every time I went out on the beach at any time with my wife, we always had multiple people trying to sell us weed and they wouldn't take no for answer and always hung around so I stayed away from the beach a lot of the time. Security was horrible since they never did anything about it and probably got a cut from them to keep their mouth shut.
The buffet food was the worst I've ever had. Even Vegas' worst buffet was better in comparsion to the ultra salty, ultra processed food at the resort. I felt the need to eat away from the resort since the dining hall had the worst hours for meal times.
All in all, you can find better for your money and get twice as much and better service elsewhere.
