“Our 9th Visit”

Sandals Inn

We just got back from our 9th visit to Sandals Inn in the last 6 years. When we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We actually felt like it was our second home.
Our room wasn't quite ready but they had a hospitality room where we could change into our bathing suits and relax by the pool until our room was finished. That was nice as we had landed ahead of schedule and were at the Inn by 10:30AM. We could take advantage of most of a day by the pool.

Sandals Inn is not a large property having 52 rooms but you can't beat the friendly staff who will go the extra mile to make sure you have a pleasant stay with them.

The rooms are kept neat and clean and if you do have a problem whether the A/C isn't working properly or the patio door won't open, there will be someone there to promptly fix it. When we first arrived, we couldn't find the remote to the TV. Asked down at the front desk and was told they would get someone right on it. By the time we returned to our room, we had a remote. Doesn't matter if it is a small problem or large, they immediately come to try to fix it as quickly and with as little inconvience to you.

The food at the Inn is delicious and each night you had several entrees to choose from on the menu. It is prepared to your liking and if it doesn't come exactly the way you want ,the restaurant staff both servers and cooks will try to accomodate you. They want you to have a great dinner not "just sitting down to eat".

The entertainment is great. Even though the resort is small, they do have great entertainment. One night "Elvis" performed. Another night an amazing steel drum orchestra had a show that was lively and a lot of fun to watch.

We have never been disappointed when we have stayed at the Inn. It's a bit more laid back than the larger resorts but that is what my husband and I were looking for.

Try the Inn, You will be surprised by the friendly staff wanting to make your vacation one to remember.

We won't stay anywhere else in Jamaica but at Sandals Inn in Montego Bay.

We just returned from a great vacation at the Sandals Inn. Sandals Inn has more of a Bed and Breakfast feel than a "party resort." Going to the other Sandals Resorts in Montego Bay is as easy as catching a bus. There are breaks however in the middle of the day and mid to late evening. If you read the schedule then it is easy to understand. The bus occassionally leaves early but on the other hand also leaves late at times. Once you are in Jamaica no matter where you stay you will realize what "Island time" is and this is different everywhere. I would reccomend this resort to the following..

1. Those who want to save money but still have the option to enjoy the "super all-inclusive" features of the other resorts.
2. Those that just want to relax and enjoy a restful vacation at a very nice place
3. Those who want to be close the aiport for quick access to and from. (Negril and Ochos Rios are 1.5 to 2 hours away respectively from MoBay airport. Sandals Inn, MoBay and Royal Carribean are all within 5-10 mins from the airport with MoBay literally right next to the runway.

There are many more reasons to stay. I will glady talk to anyone regarding this place. I would not recommend this place to anyone who is looking for the party resort or the private beach right on property. If you are willing to pay a little more that is what you can have at one of the other resorts. I feel that a huge bonus to Sandals Inn is the close proximatey to MoBay and Royal. Everyday but one we were at the other resorts enjoying the beach, water activities and restaurants.

There are many excursions and things to do throughout Montego Bay and Jamaica. If you make a left out of Sandals Inn and continue to walk you are on the "Hip Strip" Glouster Ave, There are many shops, Famous Doctor's Cave Beach and Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. You can take a cab however it is safe to walk in the daytime, it will take you 15 to 20 mins for the whole ave. This is the place to bargain with shop owners on prices. People throughout Jamaica can be pushy with buying things however this can help when you are actually going to buy because you will get a great deal.

Without rambling any futher this place was a great stay for us. We enjoy the "home" atmosphere of the Inn. Oh and one more thing make sure even if you stay at one of the other resorts you must go on the Negril Trip with Daulton. It is great, Sandals Negril, cliff jumping (35ft), Jamaican culture, shopping and a whole lot of fun and laughing.

If there are any questions feel free to email me at dete84@yahoo.com. I hope this helped in making your decisions.

“That Jamaica Feeling”

We just got back from our first trip to Sandals Inn, Montego Bay, Jamaica. We were there April 19th to 26th 2008 and had the most wonderful trip we could hope for. The days were 85 degrees and nights were 74 degrees with no rain at all, it was great.
We got to the airport in Montego Bay, got through customs, got our luggage and went to the Sandals Lounge in the airport and before we could get something to drink, our ride was there to take us to the Inn.
We got to the Inn and were welcomed by all ( both employees and guests). Our rooms were not ready so we were given a sit down lunch by the pool, before we went to our room.
My wife and I were there to celebrate our 30th Anniversary with our best friends, before we were there a full day, we were made to feel welcomed, made comfortable, and made aware that we were to enjoy all the Sandals Inn, and her two other resort sisters had to offer.
We used the pool at the Inn for the first two days, along with the public beach across the road. These both were two of our favorites, the pool was never crowded, always clean with lounge chairs to relaxe in the sun with. The public beach was great, the locals use the beach early, so the guests have the beach the rest of the day, there is a tide wash here so the beach has a clean bottom, clear water and a great wave action to enjoy. The locals were warm, friendly and we never felt unwelcome. You can get a great dress or shirt from Muriel who makes & sells them on the beach Mondays and Wednesdays, she will make them to order for you.
We ate at all the restaraunts at the Inn and found them very good, we really enjoyed our room service breakfast on the balcony of our room most mornings. We also went to the other resorts for other meals and to use their beachs, but always found ouselves coming home to the Inn to enjoy everything the Inn had to offer.
We all went to enjoy the resorts but we took one day to shop in Montego Bay, we had the Inn, have a Cab Driver named Spence ( who was recommended to us by other guests ) take us shopping where ever we wanted to go. Spence also gave us some local history as we drove from place to place. Spence took us to places were he could get us the best "DEALS" and we never were dissapointed with the result. Thanks Spence.
So we were very, very please with the Inn, we will go back again when we go to Jamaica. It is home to those who travel for relaxation, a slower pace, and want to get to know the other guests your staying with.
The Inn is Smaller than the other two resorts, but it the biggest on warmth, made to feel comfortableat, desire to serve you, and the best value we have found in a long time of travel.
So well done Sandals Inn, well done. You made two couples one from Madison, Wi. another from Minneapolis, Mn. very plaesed with you and our vacation home.

“Just OK”

Stayed at the Inn April 8 to 15. Had a great time - mostly because we went to Mo. Bay Sandals everyday. We knew what to expect becuz we had been to Mo. Bay twice. Went the cheap route and stayed at the Inn. The other vacationers were great. Everyone was very friendly. The bartenders were not great, sometimes it seemed they actually ignored us standing there at the Inn. Food was OK. Returning guest nite food was great, Mark and the top people were more friendly than the help. If we go back to Jamacia, Sandals is getting too expensive for the average person, we would probably pay the higher prices and stay at Mo. Bay. Can't beat the beaches. The Inn crowd across the street at the public beach starts about 6:00 a.m. every morning. Can't sleep without the fan and air on without hearing them. The drinks are good, just had a hard time getting one. We ate most nites anywhere but the Inn. Rooms were OK, found someone else's makeup under our bed the first day. Housekeeping otherwise was good. They deserved a tip more than anyone. Overall, can't complain to much. Weather was great.

Don't believe everything u see. The borosure made this place look marvelous. It was not close to what the book showed. I had roaches in my room and was given the incorrect room and they did not car to fix the problem. Certain parts were nice. I think I liked the other locations way better. I t was a bus trolly to take u to the different hotels. I was ready to book a room at several others. The music was corny. They played calypso all day and night. Not any real reggae!! But this is were reggae comes from. very strange to me. The pool was cool and the staff was wonderful. This was several yrs ago so i hope the got it together by now. !!!!!!!!!!
