We vacationed at Beaches Boscobel from October 24th to 31st. On our second full day there were booked a return trip. We have been to several all inclusives in the past (Cuba, Barbados, St Lucia, Dominican and another Jamaican resort) and this is the only resort we have rebooked. We travelled with two children aged 9 (turned 10 during our visit) and 12 years of age. They loved the water park and all of the restaurants. The main pool was a perfect temperature and we spent a lot of time in that area. The Staff were fantastic and we did not encounter one single staff member that was inconsiderate or rude. Pauline at the Arts and Crafts centre was fantastic with our kids and they went back to do several of the crafts with her. My husband made quick friends with Nashawn at the swim up bar. We did not utilize the Kids Club as our children were too old but we saw several youngsters enjoying the activities offered. My youngest daughter celebrated her birthday during our stay and the staff went above and beyond in making her feel special. We did the water trikes and banana boat rides and loved every minute. The beach is small but there is plenty of lounge chairs (we didn't have trouble finding a chair at any part of the resort at any time of the day) and lots of sandy areas for kids to play. If you must have a beach where you can walk for miles this is definately not the resort for you. The pictures of the beach on the website are accurate - what you see is what you get. The drive from the airport was 2 1/4 hrs and we stopped 1/2 way for a refreshment break. As the location of this resort in relation to the airport is no secret we were prepared for the drive. We brough travel mugs and took along some refreshments for the drive from the Sandals/Beaches lounge in the airport. You will need to tip the people assisting with your luggage at the airport (they do not work for the resort - just the same as any other airport in the world). You can check in online ahead of time which made our arrival a breeze. We were in our room within 10 minutes of arriving at the resort. The food was good but did get a little repetative in the buffet restaurant. Arizona's was excellent (especially the ribs!!). The Venetian was ok as well. It was nice that you did not need reservations at any of the restaurants. The BBQ Grill near the water park was nice for grabbing a quick snack. Speaking of the waterpark - if you have kids this resort is a must!! Our whole family enjoyed this part of the resort and it was one of the deciding factors when we originally made the reservations. There are vendors in the water and on the dock and while they do call out to you they do not pressure if you say "no, thank you". They do allow vendors on the property for a couple of days during the week. We really enjoyed the shopping and the bartering. The vendors were polite and we did not feel pressured. They did not approach us on the resort - they were all in a specific area and we had to go to them. We found the photo shop pretty pricey. $295.00 US for a CD with up to 80 pictures. You can only buy 5 x 7's or bigger if you want printed pictures. We bought 3 with one frame for under $50.00. We only left the resort once - for a tubing trip. It was good and we will probably do it again. The resort itself was very nice and definately had the island feel - once again, all of the pics on the website are accurate. We read several reviews before our trip and were a little worried that this resort may be run down - definately not the case. All in all, a great vacation - the staff really make this resort worth the trip.
