“Be Careful!!!”

Hibiscus Lodge Hotel

If you stay at the Hibiscus - be careful! We were broken in on at 3:15 in the morning even though we were on the second floor. He "borrowed" my cell phone and my roommate's watch and then jumped off the second floor balcony. The security fence near the tennis courts were he went out is only a couple of feet high and no longer has barbed wire over it. Tony, one of the owners, said that his insurance company would reimburse us for our losses but that has not happened and he will not even respond to email requests about it. I have stayed all over the island, but I will never stay here again. Be careful if you do!!!

Lovely location, great grounds, good room & tasty breakfast. We had this hotel almost to ourselves and loved the clifftop location, great views and the hot tub. Easy access to a bathing platform to allow for snorkelling etc - a stunning reef a short swim away - watch out for passing jetskis though! Our rooms were spacious and clean with AC (Didn't use) and ceiling fan. Swing bar is great. Would definately return.

I got married here and it was the greatest experience ever. The staff were exceptionally polite and helpful, especially Kwame who ensured everything was in place. We will be going back soon and most definitely to celebrate our anniversary. This place must be visited, the seaviews are spectacular especially at sunrise and sunset. The food is sumptuous and appealling, the best cheese-cake I ever had is right here at the almond tree restuarant.

Thank you guys for all your help during our stay and especially during the wedding ceremony!

I didn't stay at this hotel but I got married here, the grounds are very nice and staff was very accomodating. Were were supposed to get married in the gazebo, but due to hurrican Ernesto we had the ceremony indoors. The gazebo seats around 50 people and the entire gazebo is covered and has ceiling fans and overlooks the ocean. We had a choice to get have reception outside overlooking the ocean but we chose the glass enclosed room since it had air conditioning and ceiling fans and I am so glad I did. For the reception we had one fish and three meats plus sides. The staff was very accomdating. We were going to have the wedding at The Ruins at the Falls, but we kept on getting a different prices everytime we called. The VALUE we recieved for our money was amazing and we had open bar. I didnt' see any of the rooms, but the hotel is right in downtown Ocho Rios so you don't have to walk far to anything including the clubs.
