This is a lovely hotel up in the SeaCliff area. It was a good value for me at $100 per night with food and drinks for a single room. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Cleaned the rooms daily, food service was fast and cheerful. The pool is very clean and maintained by the staff. Even the gardeners were very helpful. The rooms all have safes which I signed up for to store my passport and travelers checks. They ask you to sign a credit card slip, follow the advice about not losing the key(s). It's $100 american. At one point I thought I lost it but with the help of the maid staff recovered it. One of our daytime staff Roxi (good person and worker btw) claimed the hotel was full, yet it seemed very uncrowded. The provide as a service travel to the beach version of Coral Sea. You can eat at all three venues with ease. I preferred the relaxing time at the Cliff cite. I took lots of very lovely pictures. It seems you can get around the Negril area in very inexpensive taxis. I believer if you stay here and you will be happy. I plan to return next year to this hotel for the CHNY festival and other good times I had. One other tip I used the Scoia bank atm to get Jamacian dollars and it turned out to be the best exchange rate of the trip for me.

Transferred to the Coral Seas Cliffs after a nightmare experience at a hotel just along the road. Good clean basic accommodation, food not too great but plenty of good restaurants locally. Staff were friendly and helpful, pool was clean and the views were spectacular. Would certainly stay again if on a tight budget.

I have stayed at Coral Seas on the Cliff 3 or 4 times. I have
enjoyed it very much. My experience was above average.
I thought it was quiet and relaxing. I particularly liked the
location and the rooms i had were clean and updated.
If I had to complain about anything it would be the number
of cats on the property. Entirely too many, especially considering I am deathly afraid of them. However to remedy that I always
ask for a room on the second level, which helps. I thought
the staff was extreamly accomodating, friendly and helpful.

We spent 4 days at Coral Seas Cliffs back in the spring. It is your run of the mill budget hotel like several others in Negril. We had a lower level room (2nd level has more of a breeze) with two double beds and a kitchenette. The kitchenette was great for the frig, but other than that we rarely used it. However if you do find you forgot something the staff chef is happy to let you borrow whatever you need. The food was your normal AI type of stuff, but you could order off any menu all times of the day. All the staff was very friendly. The maid service was wonderful and she provided us with fresh flowers each day. The cliff location is quiet though. You will probably feel like you are the only ones there. A few locals hang out after work, but the TV was off by 9pm and the bar closed. There is one access ladder to the ocean. We snorkeled, but we saw several schools of jellyfish and decided to stick with the pool. That could have just been the time of day we went out. There is a local named Karl who sells fresh roasted coffee. Buy some, its good. There are several places to eat very close by and a small convenience store. If you are morning person, walk up the cliffs to the lighthouse. The road is less congested the further up you go. Coral Seas if not a busy hotel so I would suggest this place to small groups of friends who just want to hang out together or a traveler who is looking for peace and quiet.

We went to Negril in late June, 2006 for our honeymoon. We wanted to do it inexpensively and the Coral Seas made it possible. The resort is basic, there aren't very many over the top ammenities. The staff is very nice and helpful. We enjoyed feeling as if we were the only people around, other than the staff. It is about $2 to go into town on the cab, or take the free shuttle to the other Coral Seas resorts. The security guard keeps people/vendors out of the resort, but be prepared if you get on the street by the resort. A lot of vendors selling everything from bracelets to marijuana will approach you. Learn to say no! The food at the resort is very good, but there is only one restaurant. The same food is served at the other two resorts too. I don't recommend the all inclusive because of this. There are great small restaurants and nice restaurants very close. We had problems with our hot water, but never got it fixed. I was told that it runs off of solar power, so at night the water is very hot. I don't know if that is why or not. However, when we showered early in the morning or at night, the water was only luke warm. The views are superb and the cliffs are so much fun. We loved getting to have good snorkel right in front of our resort! The grounds are kept VERY clean. The rooms could use some updating. It has paneling and a few spots had holes that had been patched very poorly. Overall, we had no major complaints EXCEPT we only had the option for two full beds. We were told they did not have Queen room, so check on that. We hated that, but we didn't stay in our rooms much. We like doing things! I guess that is it, if you need anything contact me!
