My group was comfortable and cared for with individual attention while we stayed at Summerset Village Resort. Other groups there at the same time received the same kind attention to detail and respect. We went on our trip to provide mission/service to several Jamaican organizations. They went beyond the call of duty to help us with those efforts as well. I have visited Summerset Village two years in a row now and will return again soon. Our rooms were clean, the grounds cared for daily and the pool a delight after working on our projects all day in the warm weather. Negril and the surrounding area have really been challenged by the storms, Ivan and Dean. Anyone who visits and stays anywhere in the Caribbean will see the impact, but by staying at Summerset, (which is lovely) we also experienced great resolve among the Jamaicans to provide a wonderful and personal experience for visitors.

If you really want to experience the culture and people of Jamaica, you can't go wrong with Summerset Village. I found the staff friendly and accommodating. Rooms are very basic, and that was just fine with me - Jamaica is a developing nation. I will return to Jamaica and I will stay at Summerset Village. Period.

My family and I stayed at the Summerset Village for one week of January it was sooo peaceful and the morning breeze was beautiful. The villa staff was kind minus one waitress. The area is away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist crowd, but still close enough to go and enjoy.

We met wonderful people from other countries. I will definetly be coming again next year. And I would highly recommend this villa for a place to get away for some cool quiet time.

Our last meal was a true Jamaican style dish and it was wonderful.

Summerset Village is a good value for money hotel, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The staff are friendly and eager to help if you need.
The hotel is situated in a good location, close to the shops and the beautiful 7 mile beach. There is also a shuttle bus which runs daily to the beach.

I’ve stayed at many hotels in Negril and would definitely intend to stay here again and recommend Somerset Village to anyone looking for good value for money hotel, (Vanessa, London)
