Title: Now wait just a minute ....
I know this place. I go there - I have friends who go there from the tourist industry in Jamaica. I do not agree with some of these statements that have been posted recently, so here is my interpretation of the situation at the WB.
I was there for one or two days each of three times over a two month period this fall. Sheets look new to me and high quality, lots of quality towels - it's always clean there, and the maintainance is always in progress. Being from the tourism sector, I can tell you this is difficult to accomplish. The owner really stresses this. It's a well run ship from a behind the scenes guy. I personally find the food fantastic, one of the top five in Negril I¹d say. As to the noise - I also go to the club in question - I like it ( keep in mind it is only really functioning on Thursday nights). While the night club in question was a problem for the Bird some years ago, it has not been much of one for a long time. There's a new sherriff in town you might say. I can tell you the club is under control, and the police have stiff penalties for noise violations.
May I say this is a great place, really like almost no place else and I admire what they do. Great non-hotel experience, beautiful details everywhere you look. I love going to the WB, and can¹t wait to go back.
