I got home from my honeymoon about 2 weeks ago. We spent one week in Negril and got married there. We brought 16 other guests and had the best holiday we've ever been on. We travelled from Ireland and found the travelling very tough but as soon as we arrived the staff took care of us. We were offered champagne and brough to our rooms. The staff took care of the bags. FRom the moment we arrived I noticed how friendly the Jamaican people are. In Ireland the hospitality industry is huge and I have always found it hard to stay in a hotel abroad which matches the service we get at home. However this resort was exvellent. The bed was about 8 foot and really high. The bathroom had two sinks and vanity area - very luxurious bathroom. The bath didn't look too inviting but if that's all that was wrong with it, I'd go back.
I honestly have never been in such a welcoming country in my life. The spa is really top notch. I was treated to a pedicure and manicure and they couldn't have done more for me. The beach is so large and wide and during November there weren't too many guests so we had our pick of sun loungers. The trips we went on were great.... quad biking, river walk and cayaking! I would sit out of the shopping trip because it wasn't great.
The waiting staff are so polite you'd want to bring them home with you. The breakfast is to die for with everything you could want on the menu... full irish/english breakfast - omelettes, cereals breads pastries porridge etc.
I would go back to this hotel in the morning! My wedding was fantastic... we got married at the gazebo and had our wedding reception at the mill restaurant at the decking area. It was beautifully decorated and we had a private bar and DJ. The food was gorgeous..... jerk chicken and beef and caesar salad. We were even treated to a pre wedding dinner (Its called a rehearsal but it's just a meal on the beach for you and your guests) It rained the day of my wedding and we still had a great time.
Hopefully I can go back in two years time... it was the best hol i was ever on
