I've stayed at this hotel a couple times, once with my family and a few times with some of my college friends. Whether your looking for a family getaway or jus getting away with some friends this is an excellent place stay. Over the years they’ve made some really nice improvements including pool with playboy style grado, deluxe suites, and a new lobby. If your going in March its definitely a Spring break spot so be prepared (did it twice…I’ll leave it that), though any other time its very laid back and quiet. But most importantly it clean and the staff are friendly. It’s a family owned business and the Wellington family definitely makes you feel welcome. Last time I went I took some flaming Marley shots on the house at the bar with Mr. Wellington the owner. He was a great host and took care of me and my friends making sure we went to all the right places. Most nights we had dinner right on the beach at the in house restaurant or you can just walk down the beach for something cheap. Jerk Chicken is a MUST from some of the street vendors. For a clean, authentic, and relaxing trip to Negril I would def recommend this place to a friend.

We were in Jamaica and decided last minute to go to Negril during high season. We needed a hotel with Cable TV and internet access (superbowl and primary elections) and wanted to be as close to the beach as possible.

Travellers Beach is clean enough, the staff is fine, the bar was fine. But I'm surprised by all of the really positive and really negative reviews on here. The hotel is average- nothing more, nothing less.

The hotel is right on the beach (though the rooms aren't)- this is awesome. The pool looked great though we never used it. The internet was unreliable and we had to ask to speak to a manager before the connection was repaired.

Our room was clean, but after a day at the beach I got into the shower and when I got out realized housekeeping had taken the dirty towels and not replaced them. With no phones in the room, that means I had to send my husband out to track down towels. They took out the bathroom trash can and never replaced it either.

Next time I'm in Negril I won't rule out Traveller's Beach, but I would like to try another place further down the beach, especially to see what else is out there.

If you want a true Jamaican experience that gives you a warm, family welcome, this is the resort for you. Everyone was friendly and accomodating in their efforts to make this a truly amazing experience! The food was delicious at Travellers, but if you wanted more variety, there were several eateries close by. Centrally located, everything is within walking distance for the adventurer. Tours of the local sites are arranged so that your day can be spent chock full of activity or sunning on the beach. Me, I loved the crystal waters, beautiful sunsets, and the warm smiles from everyone at Travellers; definitely the place to stay in Jamaica!

10 of us two sisters and children arrived at the Travellers Beach Resort. From the outset the staff were friendly and very helpful, porters took all our bags to the rooms, the rooms were well furnished, with Satalite TV and air conditioning.

I felt instantly at home. Expecially after the 8 and half hour travel from the UK, then the hour taxi ride to Travellers Beach Resort.

I felt at totally at ease.

The next morning held another surprise. Travellers Beach Resort had its own restaurant. So the holiday began with full JA Breakfast. What a Treat. Need I say more.

The Restaurant serves meals all day, and the management are always on hand should you need them for anything unexpected.

The Hotel has its own swimming pool and jucuzzi, so we were either in the sea or the pool.

Take it from me the Travellers Beach Resort will provide you with a holiday to remember for many years into the future.

Thank you Management and Staff for making our holiday one to remember.

I stayed at this hotel for 6 days in February. Upon the recommendation of a friend, I booked this hotel. It was cold and snowing in the northeast and I yearned for warmer temperatures but I had to remain on a budget. This hotel was impressive especially for the price about $95 USD per night for a superior room. It is located steps from the beach. The decor is warm and open that allows for the free movement of tropical breezes throughout the hotel. The staff was friendly and respectful. I had the opportunity to meet the owner who demands the best from his employees. The hotel rooms are clean and welcoming. There is a spa that provides facials, manicures, pedicures, massages (try the foot detox $20 USD). The pool was small but it was cleaned every day. I ate from the breakfast buffet ($6-10 USD) every morning with a choice of traditional or local cuisine (try the salt fish and acee). All tours and taxi service can be booked from the hotel (take the YS Falls/Rum Factory/ Black River tour (all day for $70 USD with food included). The hotel is currently under some renovation. The installation of a new staircase and fitness center were in progress. I would strong recommend this hotel if you want somewhere clean, safe and welcoming. I had a great time and hope you do also.
