We stayed here for two nights, Sunday through Tuesday. The grounds are lovely, even more charming than the photos suggest. The location is secluded--a rental car is definitely needed--and very quiet. Guanica is no metropolis, but there are some restaurants (mostly fast food) and a grocery store within driving distance. The hotel is only minutes away from the beach. Ponce is a short 30-40 minute drive.
Our room (one king-size bed) was quite small, but very clean. For $85 a night, we felt it was priced appropriately. There was a TV in the room and self-controlled AC. The cafe was closed during our stay, though the hotel did offer a (limited) continental breakfast in the mornings, on what seemed to be a first-come, first-served basis. The staff was friendly, if a bit too laid-back, and we only encountered one problem--upon check-in they couldn't find our reservation. Luckily, I had the confirmation number, so they were able to retrieve my paperwork. (Our reservation information, inexplicably, was at a different hotel location.) This mix-up was easily solved and a minor inconvenience that did not affect the rest of our stay.
