I travel to San Juan often and stayed at most of the hotels in the area. The BW was by far the cleanest and best decorated. The staff was beyond outgoing. I am looking for my next excuse to return.

We had a great stay on March 29th and again on April 6th as a pre and post cruise layover. We were treated warmly and every effort was made to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We were in the new rooms just off the terrace, pool and hot tub. As mentioned it is just about a 4 block walk to a great beach and we did do some walking to the beach and in the neighborhood.

Before we came I inquired about a Flamenco show and Jose (asst mngr) checked into it and emailed me all the details I needed to see the show and enjoy the Barrachina.

The ladies at the desk were most helpful - especially when we tried to order delivery pizza and don't speak Spanish or even know how to figure out which chain to call close to the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Hotel Pierre.

Just one thing to note - it is a $15 taxi ride to the criuse piers, airprot or Old San Juan and we did go back and forth a couple times so you do need to consider that when deciding on your best hotel buy.

The most interesting part of our brief stay in San Juan was Sunday afternoon when we went to El Morro. It was a beautiful day and it seemed as if hundreds of families were on the grounds enjoying the day, the breeze and flying kites! The fort and the history are very interesting.


BTW the curise wasn't bad either!

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for a few days -- we both thought is was pretty decent. The room was clean, the staff was polite, and we were not worried about getting robbed once we left for the day.

The only problem was the water pressure (or lack of water pressure) -- let's just say that the maintenance people should look into this matter.

Other than that -- it was fine.

We stayed at this hotel for one night prior to our cruise. Our room in the garden wing was lovely and ultra-modern. The Staff could not have been nicer, and they accommodated our request for a late check-out. This allowed us to tour Old San Juan in the morning and check in to our ship after the noon rush.. The room was clean and quiet and we enjoyed the continental breakfast out by the pool. The staff recommended a local diner that we liked so well that we went there for both lunch and dinner. We would gladly stay at this hotel again. Our only problem was with the local bus system that wasn't running as posted, given that it was a holiday weekend.
