Another review warned that some rooms do not have any windows, so when I booked my room I was sure to request a room with a window. Perhaps that was a mistake.
Even though we were on the 4th floor, the noise from the busy street in front of the hotel was too loud to allow a good night's sleep. We were there on a Saturday night, and the loud noise from the party crowd on the street lasted until well past 3 AM.
I don't know if the hotel has rooms with windows on the back of the hotel away from the street. If so, I would ask for one of those. Otherwise, I would probably opt for a room without windows, or try a different hotel.
Parking is a bit of a hassle, so if you will be staying at this hotel at the beginning of your trip, consider renting your car on the day you leave the old San Juan area. If you will be staying here at the end of your trip, turn in your rental car first, then take a cab to the hotel from the rental car place. Then just take a cab to the airport on the day you leave. That's what we ended up doing, and it worked out well. Old San Juan is small enough so you can just walk. No need for a car, particularly since the parking is expensive and 2 blocks away.
The hotel's location is excellent for walking around old San Juan.
