Two weeks on a cruise ship was an awesome trip. I didn't think about home or felt homesick in two weeks until I stayed at Hotel Milano. It was not a great feeling, when I first walk inside my room I smelled mildew. Maids did not clean the bathroom thoroughly and didn't change the sheets. Trying to have a nice peaceful rest but can't because music is blasting from the nightclub next door. Some employees were not helpful about finding an excursion of San Juan.
Breakfast had limited choices, it did not accomondate guests who have a specific needs to their diets.

Upside of the location is it's in Old San Juan and you can get your daily exercise walking the streets browsing through the upscale stores and there's police in every corner of the street to protect the tourist.

My family and I went on a Caribbean Cruise and after our cruise, we decided to saty 2 days in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. We decided to stay at Holtel Milano because it was advertised as an affordable and upscale hotel. Another reason why we wanted to sat at Hoel Milano was also because Internet access would be available for guest. HOWEVER........we were really disappointed! It was not an upscale hotel, the rooms and bathrooms were dirty. There was Mildo in the shower! Also, when I went to ask to use the computer, I was told that you only get to use the internet if you bring your laptop. That shows that this hotel was false advertising! Also, we found that it was really difficult to sleep at night because there were two bars/clubs located near the hotel. You could hear people yelling and cars blasting with loud music.

The only thing I can say that is positive about this hotel is that the location of the hotel is very central for walking distance around Old San Juan.

This small Hotel has very friendly front desk staff, clean rooms, wonderful hot shower and you step out of the hotel into the middle of lovely old San Juan. The desk staff could not have been nicer. I book by calling the hotel directly and all went very well. The bed was comfortable and clean. The roof top restaurant may have had a view of the ocean but construction on a new building on the water front now blocks the view. Well we did not spend much time at the restaurant anyway. There are great restaurants on the same street as the hotel. The continental breakfast was not good but adequate- cereal and boring toast and lousy coffee but fear not a Starbucks is nearby. We would definitely book this hotel again. We love the Hotel Milano!

My partner and I arrived on new years eve. We had a speedy check-in, and found our room to be a very clean, of good size but with a relatively noisy but efficient air conditioning unit (which we simply turned off and on as required). The shower was lovely, with plenty of hot water.

The room overlooked the street, and so we got a bit of noise but it didn't detract from the experience. The hotel has an excellent location - right in the middle of Old San Juan. We had an enjoyable complimentary breakfast at the rooftop patio restaurant every morning.

All in all - a lovely place to stay, and great value.
