First off, we don't speak Spanish anywhere well enough to take a tour in that language. So this maybe why the tour was so dry - the nice lady leading it was clearly stronger in Spanish than English. That said, the tour was quite dry. You watch a very old movie, then wander through the house. We never got real in depth stories, just had this and that pointed out to us, without much context. In the middle of the tour there is an incongruous touring exhibit - ours was miniature models, nothing to do with Serralles nor Ponce, nor Puerto Rico for that matter. The views from the gardens and porch are fantastic. Skip the giant cross, it was no better than the view from the house.

The Serralles mansion (it is NOT a castle despite the name) is probably the best thing for visitors to do in Ponce. While I am NOT a huge fan of the city because it has become a bit seedy and isn't all that tourist-friendly, the mansion is terrific. It's well run, beautiful inside and out and a gem. In addition, the tour guides are excellent and quite helpful.

This museum was quite beautiful. Tours began on time with a short film about the history of the Castillo Seralles. Gorgeous gardens, nice view of Ponce city. I highly recommend a visit.

During my visit in Puerto Rico, this was one of the places that I went and I have to say that is one of the nicest that I've seen in Puerto Rico!

This is great little tour and very impressive gardens. Must see if you go to Puerto Rico!
