Pigeon Island Park was very scenic with many photo opportunities. The windy surf on the Atlantic side and the boat filled harbor on the other. Beautiful tropical trees, birds and wonderful bluffs to hike. The view on top of the Fort is spectacular. The Cave on the south-west side has been destroyed by a hurricane but the rocky shore is still very interesting.

We actually did not plan to go to Pigeon Island. Our boat driver suggested that we go and it was the funnest thing that we did in St.Lucia. We ate at the little restaraunt to start off with and the food was very affordable and delicious. Next we climbed to the top and WOW what a view. After that we just sat around and people watched. There is a place to swim so bring your bathing suites, because we forgot ours and the water was beautiful and the sand was white. Overall Pigeon Island is just relaxing and fun. You have no one trying to sell you stuff and you can just do your own thing.

We were near Ratoui beach stayed there for a day it was ok. After getting a little hassle from some of the so called rastas we were told about Pigeon Island and how it was so quiet.

We ventured over to the island by a taxi boat captain Dave and his westcoast ferry very reasonable and prompt. Upon arrival we was met by a warden who asked for a fee to come on the island which have no problem with, however we loved it so much we went back most of the holiday, the only problem is for a established place you would think the goverment would provide the wardens with floating change rather than making you go to the nearest cafe to get change a little bit naughty!

But the birds, mongoose, lizards, views, beaches and last but not least the cafe with traditional food was great those ladies will look after you(whatch out for the rum punch highly addictive).

Fabulous views and a great hike followed by an excellent pint at the Captain's Cellar Pub. A must see for those who love history.

For $5 USD we got into Pigeon Island. You can swim on the island as well, but the waves were too high so the beach was closed. That didn't stop us from taking awesome photos of the coast! We climbed up to the fort, saw Martinique in the distance, and braved our way up Signal Hill, which, wearing a white cover up was a challenge. The view was totally worth it though, as well as the breeze!

After exerting so much energy we went to the Captain's Cellar Olde English Pub for a quick drink. Well it started to POUR so we stayed a bit longer... and what a fun time it was! The owner was so friendly and offered some advice about the island, while other pub patrons gave us great advice on where to go shopping and the bus service. Great prices on drinks too! Well worth the trip :D
