We pre booked this attraction and negotiated a discount to the list price.
This is a really good tour and extremely professionally run. We were picked up from our hotel and driven into the heart of the island into the rain forest. Everything about the set up gave us real confidence on safety, from the briefing, zip lining demonstration and equipment.
The ride up into the forest on 10 person gondala's was fantastic and our guides (Jesse and Peterson) really knew their stuff.
At the top, after a 10 minute walk, the zip lining starts - 10 different lines of varying lengths. There were 7 in our party plus the two instructors/guides. Everyone had a great time (including one person who was nearly 70). It's not difficult but gives a real thrill flying between the trees. Afterwards you catch the gondola back to the bottom again.
Overall, the trip lasted around 5 hours and worked out at US$415 for 5 of us. Not cheap, but a really unique experience.

We decided to book a walk in the rainforest with Jungle Tours (http://www.jungletoursstlucia.com/rainforest.htm). They (Shal and Lloyd) picked us up the our hotel and were very friendly. After we picked up another couple (so 4 people plus the guide- nice small group), we made our way to the rainforest. Along the way Lloyd and Shal pointed out many interesting buildings and their history. We also got to go thru a banana plantation, where explained how they get the bananas and what happens if the crops are damaged during hurricane season. We made two stops, one to a woman sitting off the road where we could buy local spices and products (get the saffron!!) and then another stop where we could eat fresh fruit (coconut, banana, pineapple, etc) and for another $1 get your photo with a snake.

When we started the walk itself, Lloyd was very knowledgeable with the plants and animals. We watched him climb palm trees, crack open coconuts, and climb up a vine with the greatest of ease! He was very patient with us taking photographs as well. After the walk, we got to the waterfall, which was a great treat after walking so far!

We then had lunch in Marigot Bay, which was a wide array of items, including fish, chicken, pasta, and rice! Oh and let's no forget ice cream!

Lloyd and Shal were very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour to everyone!

We visited the rain forest for just something to do, but it ended up being one of the best trips we went on.

We went for the ziplining and lift that takes you up through the rainforest. The ziplining itself was fun, and not scary at all. The guides were extremely professional, friendly, and informative about the rainforest, especially considering they are paid so little.

Going through the rainforest on the lift was fantastic - we saw many different species of trees and birds, as well as termites and tarantulas! We also got fantastic views of St Lucia from the air, which saved us having to go up in the helicopter.

Overall I'd recommend this trip for anyone. Remember to wear appropriate clothing if you do this trip though - shorts or trousers and trainers. And remember it rains in the rainforest! Short and sharp bursts of tropical rain!
