After reading many reviews on this hotel, expectations were high. Coming back from a recent stay, our conclusion was that the hype is real. This is a beautiful resort secluded in a nice little bay. The beach is a nice size, it is not shared with any other hotel and there are no vendors to harass you. The service is amazing. Case in point, I only remember one occasion during our stay where I went to go get a drink for myself at the bar. We loved that waiters would be going around the beach offering water, cold towels, ice tea, and other drinks once the bar opened. Another great thing was that this hotel was not a plagued by people getting up in the middle of the night to reserve chairs on the beach or by the pools. At any time of day, you could easily find a spot to whether it was at the various pools, the beach, or the restaurants. Speaking of which, the restaurants all have high quality of food. Each menu provided plenty of choices that changed daily, some healthy other a bit less. Interestingly, the menu identified vegetarian and gluten free meals for those people who have dietary requirements. I personally loved the smoothie/juice bar and the TAO restaurants. Also to note is the little wine cellar that is in the Cariblue restaurant. For $10, you can have a flight of premium wines and a full explanation on the aromas and flavours. It’s a fun little event. There is also live entertainment every night and a game room for those who want to access the WIFI and watch a bit of TV.
The room was beautiful and very clean. The bathroom was newly renovated and the five jet showers are heavenly, especially after a good workout. The beds were very comfortable and there was a wide variety of pillows to choose from. Note however that there are no TVs in the rooms. If you find yourself in withdrawal, just head to the game room. As for the activities, all the ones we tried were a lot of fun. There is plenty of choice every day that should keep anyone as busy as they wish to be, or not. The resort usually has a Wednesday night cocktail at the spa where everyone dresses up and a Friday night cruise where the management team ensures a good time. The included spa treatments were a very special treat. It is rare to find a place that includes spa treatments and I can attest to the fact that they were all high quality. I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of them, especially the coconut and spice combo massage and the aloe body wrap.
Overall, I find this resort to be very hard to beat for the price. Because of that, I have a lot of difficulty reconciling the negative comments about this resort. Of course no place is perfect and everyone has different tastes, but hey remember that this is a vacation and you should be positive and making the best of it. One thing is for sure, I now understand why people return to this resort. It is simply wonderful. We will definitely be back.
The deluxe oceanfront rooms were nice and had a lovely terrace.

I might need to make this our new tagline: ‘the hype is real’. Thank you for sharing your BodyHoliday experience with us. I’m happy that you mentioned the wine salon, because it is relatively new and not many people know about this fun little experience.
I understand that all of our guests are different and the team tries our hardest to provide a level of service and offerings that can please everyone. It therefore makes us incredibly happy that we’ve got another satisfied guest in you.
See you again!
