The Nisbet is a classy and refined hotel set on beautiful and expansive grounds. The beach is a short walk from most guest cottages and is very private and comfortable as is the seaside pool. Our stay was for seven nights during January 2008 and we enjoyed every day. The clientele is upscale but not pretentious - mix of British and Americans (adults). All of the Nisbet staff are well trained and very friendly and go out of their way to provide the highest level of personal service. The breakfast selection is extensive and three course dinner menu filled with a nice variety of choices every evening (typically a chicken, meat, pasta and seafood selection). The main dining room is elegant and perfect for a quiet and delicious dinner after day at the beach. Restaurants near the beach for breakfast and lunch comfortable and pleasant and afternoon tea a nice late afternoon break for those who might enjoy a spot of tea and scones. The superior rooms are nicely decorated with bath amenities, robes and hair dryer. The small gym has bike and treadmill for those inclined to work out after a few nights of great desserts. The Nisbet is an ideal location for those looking for a vacation of quiet rest and relaxation - reading a good book or just enjoying the ocean view from the beach or poolside. By the way, we have stayed in prior years at the Four Seasons Nevis which has an active children's program (and a lot of noisy kids). The Nisbet was a welcome change. We look forward to returning to the Nisbet.
