Couldn't agree more mjcohen! We are packing our bags for our 5th visit to Nisbet next week. We have explored other Caribbean islands and stopped once we found Nisbet and Nevis.
It is not for everyone, as other reviewers have pointed out. A crazy beach scene, noisy nightlife, and shopping mecca it is not. This is part of what makes it unique.
The resort is a small, elegant plantation with beautifully appointed rooms, quiet grounds to stroll and a dining experience each evening that cannot be outdone on the island. A wonderful breakfast is served with a smile each morning overlooking the sparkling sea.
Sailing and snorkeling are available as a great highlight to the experience, as are daily car rentals/tours, Botanical Gardens and museums, all of which take 1/2 day. We have also taken day trips to St. Kitts. We haved enjoyed them all.
What we most enjoy is being among our friends at Nisbet. They are the most sincere, warm hearted, caring people, taking care of their guests as family, making sure every need is tended to. Each time we return, there is an instant feeling of relaxation and warmth that is uniquely Nisbet!
