My sister and I planned our vacation around one week of glorious sailing in the Grenadines and needed a place to stay before and after our seven days on the sailboat. After as much research as possible via the Internet for places to stay in St. Vincent, we decided on the Coconut Beach Inn (---). We were not disappointed in our choice. I was able to contact Jennifer via email (---) and confirm availability and reservations. We made our way from the U.S. states via Puerto Rico and then boarded the Liat airlines island hopper twin turbo prop plane to Saint Vincent. From the airport you'll want to catch a 10-15 minute taxi ride to the Coconut Beach Inn which is located in the Indian Bay / Rose Cottage area.

The Coconut Beach Inn is *right* on the Caribbean Sea and has the "Open View" Restaurant and "Jolly Rogers" Bar right on the property. The "Open View" dining area has a wonderful view of Indian Bay filled with sailboats at anchor and Young Island in the foreground and the Northernmost Grenadine Island of Bequia in the background. A spectacular view that you can also get from the seaside rooms if you choose. Our first night we had a lovely dinner at the “Open View” restaurant and as typical vacationers tend to do, had a very jolly time at the “Jolly Rogers” bar as well :-) Our seaside room was simple and clean with a complementary warm ocean breeze and ocean waves that will lull you to sleep (or was it the Hairoun beers and the rum ;-) The Indian Bay beach is a short beachside walk right from the Coconut Beach Inn and the Grand View Grill is an excellent alternative dining destination at the other end of the Indian Bay beach.

If you’re looking for posh, fancy, and high activity, this is not the place for you. But if you’re looking for comfortable, clean, quiet, friendly, convenient, and affordable with outstanding views, this is most definitely the place! Jennifer was an excellent host, cook, and bartender and we would definitely come back again!

We had a wonderful stay in Jan 04. Shadiek was the most gracious host we could have asked for. It's a very quiet out of the way place with a wonderful view of Young island and a small secluded beach which ajoines a much larger Indian Bay beach.

This beach inn was ideally situated on the beach front and the proprietor Jennifer was so welcoming and friendly. The accommodations are moderate and basic but the ambience is fantastic and the location is heaven. We got a terrific view of Young Island and our room was on top overlooking the waters and island.I recommend this inn totally and Jennifer is such a wonderful hostess.
