“Okay Guest House”

Abercromby Inn

18 Apr 2008

I stayed in the hotel for about 8 days. On their website they state that if you stay for 7-9 days you will recieve a discount. I'm sad to say that i had to fight very very hard to get the discount i deserved. The staff told me different stories like it's only if you stay 14 days and even one guy in charge at the time stated to me they don't have discounts at all. The other problem I notice is the lack of reciepts they give. If you don't ask if seem like you won't be given one. I not sure why they do this. Lastly the staff at the desk was a bit rude. One the up side it's close to town and the terrace is nice. Word of advice make sure if your staying for 7-9 you get your discount and make sure to ask for your reciept.

I stayed at the Abercromby Inn August 2007 for a week, what can I say the room I stayed in had enough space for me, my mom and her friend to move around. it had in Tv, table with chairs, wardrobe, Ac, and private bedroom What I really like about the hotel the staff is very friendly even the maids, but most of all the night reception David, he is very, very nice. He advice us where to walk and where not to walk when coming in on evenings, where to get something nice to eat and so on. Last but not lease I want to say a big thanks you to Lisa for how she assist us with reservation and so fro.

“Great for a budget hotel”

Abercromby Inn

11 Jun 2007

I stayed at abercromby for a few days and overall it was nice. Most of the staff was very welcoming and helpful, especially David. On arrival i was disappointed because the room was not spacious at all but that is mainly because we had two single beds in our room. I stayed in an economy room which had air conditioning, 2 single beds, wardrobe unit with a few hangers, dresser, mirror, telephone, small coloured tv with cable, an private bathroom. Although i felt boxed in my stay was nice mainly because i watched alot of tv in my spare time, including America's next top model. What's disappointing about the rooms are that u can hear ur neighbours even if they don't speak loudly. So if you are hoping for some peace and quiet you may want to request a room away from others. There is a fridge in the hall way to utilize. If you really need to press your clothes that can be arranged. Another disappointment was the cleaning and the presentation of my room. Won't go into detail but it was a bit stuffy so because i have allergies i had a bad time breathing through the first night. You may not want to share a room if you are not very close with your roomie. I still plan on returning. I think it's still worthwhile. Could be much worse.

“A huge disappointment”

Abercromby Inn

What a disappointment!! The inn was basically empty and we had a reservation, but we were put in a room that was virtually a box- no window, overwhelming moth ball stench, and the desk person was surly to boot. In addition, they had no record of the fact that we had prepaid by Mastercard, so we had to pay again in cash. This truly was our nastiest lodging experience ever, and we aren't fussy. The price was $43 US which was fine (not so fine considering we paid it twice), but I suggest you hop on the ferry and head to Tobago where there's an abundance of budget lodging which is clean, roomy, and staffed by the nicest folks ever.
Stay anywhere else.

I stayed at the Abercromby Inn for only a day as i was just passing through the town and need a place to crash with my girlfriend. The rooms are small and basic but were clean. I paid $55 USD, which is a decent price to pay considering the prices of other inn's and hotels in the surrounding areas. The walls are not too thick so you can hear conversations in the room next to you. The beds are not all that great either but decent. The Inn is also located very conveniently located which makes this place a good stay. I would recommend if you are looking to save a few dollars.
