This was a perfect place for our family of four (2 children 9 + 12).
Plenty of space in the villas, beatiful garden and friendly staff.
Nice beach, not crowded at all. We will come back to see the turtles (too early this time).

We went to PBV in November last year to celebrate my mums birthday. We stayed for ten days, and I must say that it was our best vacation ever! And then I really must stress, that we have been to fantastic resorts all over the world.

So what was so good about PBV? Well, everything. When arriving late night, tired from a long day of travelling, our wonderful maid had prepared a great dinner and filled the fridge will beer, water, juice, fruit, breakfast stuff etc. Couldn't have been better.

The villas are amazing. We lived at the third one from the top, and we loved it. They are not in any way delux, but they are beautiful in a carribbean way, they have everything you need (including the most wonderful porch), and mostly - they immediately starts to feel like home.

The only downside of living at PBV, is that you don't want to go anywhere..it is just too nice to relax on the porch, lay by the pool or walk on the wonderful beach. Speaking of which, I must say that we were very surprised with how good the beach was. We went to other beaches, including Englishmans Bay and Pigeon Point, and we liked Stonehaven beach the most. It was extremely beautiful, in a natural kind of way. The sand isn't extremely white, but it's very fine and beatiful anyway. The only bad thing is that the water can be a bit rough sometimes.

So to sum up - if you're going to Tobago, or Carribbean for that matter (we've been to Anguilla before, which was fantastic, but we would definitely choose Tobago if we were going back), live at PBV. We are definitely going back.

Our main reason for coming to Tobago was our daughter's wedding. After looking at and contacting some of the hotels and resorts on the island we decided to go with Plantation Beach Villas. They responded very promptly to every email we sent and answered all of our questions. When we looked at their website the villas and property looked beautiful, when we arrived it was even more beautiful.
We arrived to a wonderful fruit basket, a refrigerator stocked with enough food for breakfast and more, and a prepared dinner. The villas are lovely and the layout perfect. The grounds are well maintained and there a lot of fruit trees. We were entertained everyday by the local birds, they came and ate the food we put on the veranda, they were quite tame. Our villa attendant, Stacy, was a gem. In addition to keeping our villa immaculate, she gave us excellent local advice, we had many great conversations with her. Everyday was the same question from her, "What can I do for you today?" We loved her!!!
We ate breakfast at the villa and enjoyed lunch at the bar a lot of the days, the food was good and the bartender was fantastic. Ivan was always ready with a big smile and hello. He made our trip special and his rum punch is the best!
The wedding itself was organized exactly as we planned. There were no last minute questions or problems. In fact there were no questions at all. We worked with Suzanne and made all our decisions via email before we arrived and everything was perfect. I would never have believed that a wedding could be so easy. Everyone there went out of their way to make sure we just relaxed and enjoyed the days leading up to the wedding and the wedding day itself. They are an amazing group who truly care about their guests. After the wedding our daughter told us it was everything she had ever dreamed of and more. What more can you ask for?
All in all our vacation and wedding was a perfect experience. If you are looking for a wonderful, relaxed vacation head straight to Plantation Beach Villas, you will not be disappointed!!!

My immediate and extended family along with our international wedding guests and party stayed at the Plantation Villas and it was incredible! The wedding arrangements were great, the service impeccable including the warm, friendly and helpful staff who assisted us. My sister's wedding was held at 5 pm on the beach and it was incredible from the amazing views to the beautiful arbor and guest area set up as a part of the Plantations wedding package. Everything was done as had been planned which in the Caribbean is amazing. Thanks to Sean, Suzanne, Fiona, Ivan and all of the staff for making this stay memorable. By the way the villas are immaculate and the staff who are assigned do a great job in keeping them that way - they are helpful but not intrusive. We had 4 of the 6 villas and loved it. For families with small children, the pool is great and the water on the beach which is a two minute walk is calm and safe. The food at the Pool Bar is great - try the crab backs - amazing! Lots of kid friendly food options. For those with elderly or mobility impairment, the walk up to the upper villas is steep however cars can go up or ask for the villas closest to the Admin offices. All amenities are offered in the villas including washer and dryer, iron and ironing boards, hair dryers. This is a fabulous venue for a wedding and for a vacation without question.

Plantation Beach Villas

This was our family's first trip to Tobago and I reckon we hit the jackpot as far as accommodation was concerned. Plantation Villas certainly lived up to its billing and provided a very comfortable base for our holiday. The villa itself was very well fitted and comfortable. The welcome from the staff was warm and helpful and the maid service was brilliant. Ask her to cook an evening meal for you - it was just wonderful and well worth the few extra dollars. The Seahorse restaurant - just a hundred metres along the road - was terrific and we ate there on three occasions - food and service first rate although the prices are nearer european than caribbean. We enjoyed the quiet and relaxing location. The pool was like a warm bath and bar service friendly. For us the fact that the Carribbean is literally a few seconds away was just great. There were no crowds and there was no one trying to sell you trips, craft goods etc etc unlike around the other hotels and apartments. Swimming was very easy and we even managed to see a turtle laying its eggs on the beach one night. Sunsets were spectacular and best viewed after a cocktail. The bird life around the villas was amazing as were the iguanas. The mosquitoes and insects were a wee bit of a nuisance and visitors should bring a good supply of creams and sprays. The island itself was delightful. It was the start of the rainy season when we went so we had some amazing rainstroms which lasted for a few minutes and then disappeared. The temperature however was never below 30 degrees. Because of the location of Plantation Beach, I hired a car for the fortnight - not all that cheap and the driving is , let's say different - and that gave us flexibility. All in all, Plantation Beach was the perfect base for a relaxing, quiet and very enjoyable holiday.
