Imagine sipping on your favorite ice cold drink........ my drinks of choice, mudslide and malibu with pineapple juice. You're sitting on a beach chair strategically located on the jetty which is located foot steps from your hotel room. You are pleasured by the sound of waves crashing on the rocks below you. The sunlight smiles upon you while drying your relaxed body after one hour soaking in store bays rich blue waters. If you cast your eyes below you can see some of Jah's wonderful creations, fishes of many wonderful species. Ended by the most beautiful sunset you have ever seen.

The Crown Point beach hotel is situated approximately 3 minutes walk from the airport and consists of a low-level main block of rooms and a number of stand-alone rooms/apartments (cabanas). Our room was in the main block. The room itself was clean and a good size with lots of drawer and cupboard space. There was a kitchenette which included a fridge-freezer and a microwave (but no bottle opener!). Our room was air-conditioned (though it seemed that rooms differed somewhat in their facilities) and we had a balcony with a table and chairs and a lovely sea view over the gardens and Store Bay.

The hotel has a small pool surrounded by canopied tables and chairs and a few sunbeds. The restaurant is open-air and the food was good and reasonably priced. There is not much (any?) night life in the area but the hotel has a pleasant open-air bar with fantastic views over the bay and low-key evening musical entertainment.

There is a small grocery store right next door and Pigeon Point is about 10-15 minutes walk away. A taxi to Scarborough cost us 6 TT dollars (about 60p) or you can take the bus (which is air-conditioned) for 2 TT dollars (about 20p).

Well, I carried my wife on a surprise Birthday trip to Tobago and must say that I was a bit dissatisfied. The way the hotel advertised itself...and what I found varied. When we arrived i must say from the front of the hotel...things looked fine!

When we entered, the receptionist (who was on the phone blabbing away) handed us a form to fill out and just ignored us. A gentleman at the front desk completed the job in a "professional" manner and pointed us to our room.

There was many ants in the room and in the sheets when I arrived and the space in the room left a lot to be desired. The kitchen was a small two burner oven and a toaster oven and the bathroom was small and included a non-operational hair-dryer.

The grounds and view however were breath-taking and the restaurant and bar staff great! Entertainment on the two nights we were there was really awesome and the food and beverages ...well....yummy. I will go back but maybe try a cabana instead and pray for the best.

The hotel is in a very good location, only a few minutes walk from the airport, so you don't need to catch a taxi, and right on the sea, and next to a lively beach. All the rooms are self catering, with mini-markets near-by, and all overlook the sea. There is also a pool. The rooms are clean, bright and everything works. We paid US$80 for the room per night without breakfast. There is internet access for free, if you do not use it for more than 30 minutes.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights in cabana 418, after the first night, I went to breakfast at Vie de france opposite the Airport, on my return to my cabana at approximately 8:45am, I saw a gentleman coming out of my cabana through the front sliding door, I assumed this was a maintainance personnel, since I reported the sliding door was not locking. I inquired are you here to fix the sliding door, he replied yes and proceeded to thug the door back and forth. My wife and daughter proceeded to take a shower, I rest my cell phone and carry bag on the counter.
Immediately after the gentleman left I attempted to make a cell phone call, but was unable to, since my cell phone was missing, I immediately checked my carry bag and found my wallet gone. I immediately reported the incident hotel security, a report was given, it was discovered the this person was not hotel staff, no one knew him. I was told to report it to the police, I did, after having to get to the station on my own. Ther police were very accomodating, unlike the hotel staff. I was never compensated for my loss, neither did I receive an apology.
Two days after, from home I call my stolen cellphone and to my dismay a local answered it, he told me it was given to him by another local, he assured me he would return it to the hotel.
Since I've heard nothing from the hotel staff.
