i tink this place is great and the price for it is also great. i have had family members stayed here before and they do not want to go home...if anyone complains about this place it means that they were probably expecting an all inclusive room with qualities like the hilton or coco reef resort with breakfast lunch and dinner being provided to them. i can live with housekeepers coming to my room every other day hence the reason for being self contained apartments. some people do not know the reason of 'self- contain' but because they pay for a place they expect the housekeepers to make their beds and wash their dishes and put away their clothes for them. now that is not the reason for self contain and then when they are being explained to them what is self contained apartments, they get upset. i have seen this with my eyes so i know.people expect to pay little and get pop star treatment. well i think they need to book the hilton. i love sunshine apartments and i would definitely recommend it to anyone. it is indeed a home away from home

This is the worst hotel/motel!! The accommodations are not suitable for North American visitors and is way over priced when compared to other hotels in the same area with better accommodations. If I had done my research prior to booking I would never have stayed there. Management needs some serious help on how to run a decent hotel and how to communicate with guests. It seems like the accommodations is family run....we had the unfortunate experience of meeting the mother and daughter. Both women act like they are doing guests a favor by booking them a room at their motel. When really, it's the guests keeping them in business. They are very rude and have a bad attitude, especially the daughter!! She talks down to people and does not know how to talk to people in a polite manner only aggressive and mannish. Even if the facility was a 5 star (by North American standards) I would still not stay there again based on the behavior of those women. Now the rooms: The doors to the room are not private it's a "open concept" door...they have louvers that are about 1cm apart....so you can hear everything that happens outside and everyone can hear you and not to mention see you though the sheer curtains. At night when you think you can at least relax a little bit...there goes the noises...people talking loudly, a very loud truck that came both nights we were there to do something. We had pluming issues, no water one day...couldn't flush the toilet either. A/C was not working great, in room fans were broken. The pool was NASTY....never cleaned. But the rooms are big, clean to a point...but had tiny ants. Not worst staying at...a 1 star hotel for the price of a 5 star. Save your money and book with an actual resort....it will cost you the same amount but you will feel like you're on vacation.

We stayed at the Sunshine Holiday Apartments for 5 days back in September. We got a room with 2 double beds, sitting room, breakfast nook and dining table, and kitchenette. While generally it is quite comfortable for the traveler on a tight budget I would not recommend this to anyone.
We had some major problems
Receptionist is very aggressive and in emergencies we could reach her less than 25% of the time.
The hotel was experiencing water shortages so management would turn off the water supply and water heater so that guests couldn't use it. We understand that water shortages cannot be helped but before booking hotels should let us know this!!
Water trucks would come in to fill up reservoirs and block in anyone who parked in a certain area.
Pool was dirty.
Maid service is every other day and they only replace towels. there is no actual cleaning happening or making of beds.
The hotel insists that you do an inventory of the kitchen items before you stay in a room or you will be charged. So God help you if the maids break or damage anything.
There was no telephone. And internet costs are too high. Try an internet cafe which actually offers high speed services.
Looking for a great affordable hotel!! Try Crown Point Hotel or Sanctuary Villas. We picked Sunshine because everything was booked up but regretted it our entire stay.
