We stayed at the Sunshine Holiday Apartments for 5 days back in September. We got a room with 2 double beds, sitting room, breakfast nook and dining table, and kitchenette. While generally it is quite comfortable for the traveler on a tight budget I would not recommend this to anyone.
We had some major problems
Receptionist is very aggressive and in emergencies we could reach her less than 25% of the time.
The hotel was experiencing water shortages so management would turn off the water supply and water heater so that guests couldn't use it. We understand that water shortages cannot be helped but before booking hotels should let us know this!!
Water trucks would come in to fill up reservoirs and block in anyone who parked in a certain area.
Pool was dirty.
Maid service is every other day and they only replace towels. there is no actual cleaning happening or making of beds.
The hotel insists that you do an inventory of the kitchen items before you stay in a room or you will be charged. So God help you if the maids break or damage anything.
There was no telephone. And internet costs are too high. Try an internet cafe which actually offers high speed services.
Looking for a great affordable hotel!! Try Crown Point Hotel or Sanctuary Villas. We picked Sunshine because everything was booked up but regretted it our entire stay.
