We booked and paid for 1-bedroom and a 2-bedroom beachfront suites about 6 months ago, based upon messages here, and called to confirm twice. Upon arrival (at check-in time) last week they said "The room isn't ready, come back in 20 minutes." So the 7 of us sat around until they came out and said "well actually your rooms have been taken - the owners showed up and they have priority. We have booked you into the Wyndom down the road." I asked "Do we have comparable rooms - beachfront suites and 3 separate bedrooms?" and they said yes. (First mistake - you should always call the other hotel to confirm this when you are still at the first.)
Then we drove over to the Wyndom which was a huge and somewhat dingy mega-hotel with Surprise! no beachfront rooms at all, and a measly little beach and coldish pools. Upon arrival there they has us in the lowest price standard rooms, and only two of them. They said "there are two double beds in each so 4 people can sleep in one of the rooms, that's all that Secret Harbour booked you for" After a lot of calling back and forth (I can't wait to get the roaming cell phone bill for that one), and escalating to making a scene in the lobby, they got us another room, but that one wasn't ready until about 6pm. The $ total was now about the same, but the situation was much worse, and we had had to get angry and upset - never a nice way to arrive on vacation.
So Secret Harbour may be nice, but if you book you are taking your chances that the owners or other guests could arrive at any time and bump you with no warning, then send you off to a completely different experience at a far less comparable situation. You might want to seriously reconsider and book a place that manages their booking better, and then handles overbooking more professionally. I've heard Bolongo Bay Resort is great. Sapphire Beach is very nice and there are a number of properties there.
