I've stayed at the Riu before-it was nice but overrated and did not have the same level of entertainment and staff that Breezes does. Ashley, Crystal, Snake, Bullet, Swish & David to name a few were fantastic and always made sure I was having a great time. Nevado-the trapese guy was amazing to say the least and Funky D, and the summer Breeze band were fantastic. They even allowed me to sing with the band one night. There was also the most amazing guy who played the saxaphone and a singer named Puzzle there one night who were great to say the least .
To top things off, I was in one of the nicest, newly renovated rooms with a plasma TV that was gorgeous and very clean.
We also made the aquaintance of PH (the entertainment staff manager and Jerry) who made sure that I had everything I desired (without hesitation) while there.
Overall-I think the entertainment staff makes Breezes so special and I will no longer stay anywhere else as I felt like I was at home and well taken care of at all times.
There was a wide variety of food at all times and I was able to dine in one of the a la carte restaurants one evening. When I told the hostess that it was my birthday, she brought out a whole birthday cake for me (not just a slice of cake-a whole cake) and had the restaurant singing Happy Birthday at the end of my meal. You can never go hungry there either as there is free flowing food and drinks at all times.
The Piano bar was very relaxing whenever I felt I needed to just kick back and listen to some old school tunes. Hurricanes (the on site club) left me feeling as though I really did not need to leave the resort to have a night out-everything is right there at the resort.
All in all-it was the best trip ever for me and I would highly recommend it to anyone-young or old.
