I went there for two nights, with another adult and a 3 year old. The staff is what I expected but is the norm. Not very friendly and not even a smile but very helpful.
There is mold and oh dear the humidity, you can put the AC on and deal with wet floors is really that bad.
We were itching all the time and my son who has allergies was coughing too.
Is very close to west bay street, a very short walk will take you to where the action is. We only slept there, bought drinks and snacks in a shop on bay street and took our meals at the British Colonial Hilton that will allow non-guests to use the restaurants. They have breakfast and lunch buffet to choose from.
Not my first option but a good one when you are not looking for a place to spend some time in. If you are doing business or if you are planning just to sleep then go for it.

I stayed at the Quality Inn last week and enjoyed all Nassau has to offer. Ill start saying this hotel is in the middle of everything. You are a less than 5 min. walk from downtown and the port of nassau. You are also a 5 min. walk away from the famous fish fry as well as the nightclub cocktails and dreams, Nassaus only on beach nightclub which is furthermore incredible. You open your window to a beautiful view of junkanoo beach. the room is clean and cleaned promply everyday and new towels are provided everyday. The pool is clean and pleasant to use. The staff will meet your needs promptly upon asking. Also for the concerned traveler a police station is 2 buildings down and the police are friendly as well as helpful and visible. I enjoyed being able to walk to the sites on foot saving much money in taxi fairs you are also able to pick up the bus which is only a dollar if your trying to go to cable beach which is a beautiful beach. If you are trying to go to paradise island for the day and check out the beautiful resort atlantis which i suggest (even though many travelers say it costs money to see it is free to go to the casino and walk much of the grounds but if you want to use all facilitys it cost 105 dollars a day which i didnt do) you can walk 5 min to the port and pick up a ferry for 6 dollars round trip. When I read many of the other reviews i think that these travelers are expecting a resort which the quality inn is not, though a great hotel, if you want your itinerary made for you then do a resort but if you feel comfortable making your own plans or want to wake up and decide what you will do each day which is a change from the structured work life in the states the quality inn is just what you need.

I chose the Quality Inn for a business trip due to the location and what seemed like a reasonable price. Theme was set by a car in the hotel parking lot missing all 4 wheels. This looked better than the car directly across the street that had been burned. Room had a great view of the harbor. However, the shower was a sad cold trickle due to missing parts of the shower head. This did get repaired after two requests. The phone did not work due to a jumble of wires loose from the wall. Lots of small ants in the room vacated after a request for spraying. If you want a bug free hotel with working plumbing and phones, you might try somewhere else.

  • Liked — low price, location and views of harbor
  • Disliked — plumbing and phones that did not work, ants in the room

My husband and I just came back from a 2 week stay in the Bahamas...
the second week we stayed at this hotel and, while it was not a totally awful experience, I would strongly recommend tourists avoid it. One of the reasons we chose to stay here was the advertised free internet - the hotel's website says that it has free internet but it does not. Internet is available for a $10/day fee, but we never could successfully log on even though we were willing to pay the fee. (Apparently other guests had no problems with it). The swimming pool shown in the picture on the website is NOT the same pool as at the hotel - the actual pool is very small, and only 4 feet at its deepest. We never saw anyone use it. The room was exceedingly small and there was a funky smell but it was kept reasonably clean. The first few days we didn't have trouble with the hot water but the last 2-3 days we showered in cold water. When we complained at the desk they said we had to run the water longer (after 10 minutes of showering it STILL never got even remotely warm). They also said we weren't turning the knob the right way, and that they would send someone up to show us how to do it. We declined (we are university educated and know how to use a shower). They also said that no one else had complained and that they could move us to another room if we wanted (we declined this as well, we were checking out the following day). At times we did not have enough towels (ie, one towel for the two of us) and we were seldom provided with facecloths. The staff was happy to give us towels/facecloths on request, though. We were fortunate to get a corner room on the 6th floor with a fabulous view of the ocean, which almost made up for the rest of it! The air conditioner was a bit noisy but worked well. The hotel is only a short walk to downtown, although it's difficult to get there at times because of the traffic and the lack of sidewalks.

  • Liked — The view from the room was spectacular.
  • Disliked — The staff was very unhelpful much of the time.

We loved the location, it was very convenient for Junkunoo, 2 blocks from the start line. The staff was very friendly and somewhat helpful. We should have booked through them directly instead of Expedia. Expedia's rate was $40 more per night and came with a free wireless promise which turned out to be $10/day. We stayed in 211, a large (400+sq ft) ocean view room. If it were not for a terrible mold problem we would have loved it and would have stayed there to the end of our vacation. Unfortunately the allergy headaches were unbearable (even after we spent an entire can of Lysol on the room) so we had to leave.

  • Liked — Huge room, friendly staff, geat location.
  • Disliked — Horrible mold problem.
