“Nice place”

Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort

16 Jun 2008

Very nice for families. Lots of pools and really nice shallow beach. The beach was spectacular. The food at the buffet and grill was really good. I loved the Gruper fingers at the grill and the buffet had a chocolate fountain!
Staff was friendly and nice. The hotel itself was great and lobby alone had alot to offer. Easily accessible to casino through nice walkway with some upscale shops being set up.
The buffet at dinner was 38 dollars per person and 28 per person for breakfast. The grill had moderate prices as well. So this is definately not a cheap place.
Downside -Rooms
The linens we not the newest, all the sheets and towels we got had stains on them. The bathtub had some permenent stains on it. The toliet way really really high, too high for my toddler and I think way to high for the handicap. So as you can imagine I wasn't at ease in the room. The bathroom door was glass and made privacy a little weird. If I stayed at this hotel again I would insist on brand new sheets and towels. Atlantis is 20 minutes away by car. The tour desk can arrange a trip which includes the aquarium entrance fee.

“An Absolutely Fantabulous Resort!”

I loved, loved, loved the Bahamas and Sheraton Cable Beach Resort. I couldn't have asked for a better vacation on my first trip to the Bahamas. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 days, 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The jitney is right out front and the location is half way between the airport and downtown which allows for you to zip into town but also to return to the solitude and peace of the island. I highly recommend the Sheraton to anyone and everyone who plans to go to the Bahamas.

One word... AMAZING! What a beautiful beach. And the water was so clear and perfect for swimming. The hotel was much better than expected. The layout was good, and the rooms were very clean. I was ready to book my next trip even before I left. The staff was excellent. Just be nice people, you will be treated like royalty. We were given a great room with an even better view (room 739).

They had a great club at the Casino and went there every night for entertainment. The restaurant were good. The Black Angus was a bit disappointing. All in all, great trip. Good luck, I hope you make the most of your time in this great place.

“Very Nice”

We stayed for 3 nights. If we return to Nassau (good possibility), we would stay at the Sheraton again or at the Atlantis.

Restaurant prices are high, but about what is expected for a remote island. We had expected the restaurant prices to be lower than the Atlantis, but they seemed about the same. There is a buffet that is a good value (just don't arrive right before they close for that meal).

The Sheraton is now joined with the Wyndham. There is a connecting hall that is starting to add shops. The casino is between the two hotels and you will have to go through it if you stay indoors. Good range of machines (lots of 1-cent and even a few 100-dollars).

It is nice to use the slide at the Wyndham pool and come back to go in the ocean at the Sheraton, followed by the more relaxing pools at the Sheraton. In comparison, the Atlantis has more pool selection, but they are noticeably further from the rooms, even more so depending on which section you stay in.

The staff was very friendly, as are many of the islanders. The phones were temporarily disabled, presumably because of construction. There were no problems with any of the other conveniences (air condition, hot water, etc.).

Remember that you will have to provide your own transportation to and from the airport. On this trip, we used taxis. It was more relaxing than having to drive on the left hand side of the road and we often got a free tour along our route. The taxis were readily available at the hotel and airport.

“Rest and Relaxation”

Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort

Overall, the stay was good. The prices of food area little expensive, but that is sort of expected when visiting countries that rely on the importation of goods. I advice that you review your bill closely for unauthorized charges. I actually reviewed the bill and found $93.00 in excess charges. The travel company that I used actually charged me with the resort fee when I made the travel arrangements. Once at the resort, there was an attempt made by the staff to charge me again. After disputing the charge, the representative gave me a credit slip to sign which removed the $93.00 in excess charges. Once I arrived back in the States, I discovered that my credit card had been charged $150 more than what it should have been charged. WATCH YOUR BILL CAREFULLY.
