We filmed on one of the kayak Nature tours for a travel show and it was beautiful. A peaceful yet exciting excursion which shows you a side of the island that is increasingly hidden by large scale tourist developments. Very highly recommended to all tourists of all ages.

While visiting Grand Bahama we wanted to do a little of everything. The woman at our tour desk recommended the Kayak Nature Tours. They had about 5 different tours, but we did the first one.

Our guide, Mike was excellent. From the moment he picked us up, he treated us like family and kept us laughing. We were given some preliminary instructions and then we set off on an hour or so kayak ride through the red mangroves. As we kayaked, Mike gave us a lot of history of the island and the mangroves. Eventually we paddled up and got off at this beautiful beach. We were then taken on a short ride down to an even more gorgeous part of the beach for a light picinic lunch. After lunch we had about an hour to sit and enjoy the beach before going on a nature walk and learning about some of Bahama's gorgeous flowers and the Lucayan indians. Finally we ended with a tour of two of the national parks caves and then it was back to the hotel.

The tour lasted about 5 hours and was well worth the $69 per person we paid. I would highly recommend this - or really any of their tours to anyone.
