I had so much fun I don't even no where to begin. The food was delicious. I gained weight because I did not discipline myself at an all-you-can-eat buffet. There was vegetarian ciusine, bahamian cuisine, and American food. I can't believe people would say the food is just 'alright' (What?!) The shows after dinner was definitely entertaining. Although the "Mix" show was a sight to see. Watching Latinos dancing to gospel music was hilarious. I did all of the activities on the resort except for scuba diving and archery. I will save those for the next time. We spent 2 days on the resort because it is just that much to do. I have never snorkeled or jet ski before (ohmagosh). After I figured out how to turn left and right, the jet ski was one of the best. The trapeze was totally awesome. Billy, Angel, ChoChu (whatever his name is), and Renee were fun and helpful. Shot outs to Sawyer and KJ (Ow!). The staff were cordial. Even the guests were friendly probably because people came from different parts of the world. This place is fabulous. I can't wait until next year!

I had such a great time I don't even know where to start! So, I had been searching for a great place to stay at a reasonable price and I remembered a friend of mine visiting the Bahamas. I also didn't want to worry about spending money on food or activities so an all-
inclusive hotel was my best option. I called up a travel agent and had Viva booked. I read the reviews for Viva and must admit I was a little hesitant about going but I thought what the heck, have an open mind. My friend and I took the cruise over to the island, which was a great ride as the food an entertainment was pretty good. When I got to the island I loved it. We got a taxi to the hotel without any issues, and the more people the taxis have to take the less you pay.

At the hotel check-in was smooth and we were able to go to our rooms right away. Of course after reading the reviews I asked to stay in the C building. But from what I saw I would recommend staying in B or C, A didn't look so great. Now the room was great and the bathroom was clean, which is the most important thing to me. We had a garden view and I loved sitting on the balcony just looking at the garden, it was just so relaxing. The only problem I had with the room was the fact that I couldn't get the shower to work that first night and having the water cut off in the middle of a shower, as well as having to take two mornings of cold showers because there was no hot water.

Now the food, was just amazing. I wasn't a fan of breakfast but the smoothies were decent. Lunch was always good, so was dinner. However, my favorite dinner experience was at the Italian Restaurant; that is a must try experience. The activities were great especially the trapezee; now you may scream your head off the first time you try the trapezee but after the 6th and 7th attempts you'll be doing tricks like a pro. Snorkeling was fun, so was sailing. I got to learn salsa and do some aerobics, play tennis and learning how to use a bow and arrow. The beach was gorgeous and it was never a hardship finding a spot on the beach. If you were ever hungry there was the Snack Bar and if it was late at night the Pizza spot was open; l absolutely loved the pizza.

One of the things I really enjoyed was the staff and the other guests. Everyone was exteremly friendly and polite. The staff made it a point to make sure you were enjoying yourself and that you were involved in all the activities. The other guests were courteous and didn't hesitate in being helpful themselves.

So, besides my terrible bathroom encounters, my 5 day 4 night stay was great. I know for a fact that I will be visiting Viva Wyndham again. Just one more thing, keep an open mind and you will be alright.

Whenwe started planning for our honeymoon, we knew we wanted to go to the bahamas. We picked Freeport because it was not the "normal" tourist spot and we didn't want to be sourronded by tons of people, we wanted quiet. The hotel was very quaint. Almost everyone there was on a honeymoon so people kept to themselves and did couple things. The staff was very nice and they there best to keep people excited and entertained durring the on and off rain showers. After the rain had gone it was very beautiful, white sandy beach and blue water. The hotel offered all the "vacation" things you would want like scuba, anorkling, jet ski to name a few. Transportation to anywhere on the island was easy to come by and advice on where to go and what to do was freely given. We had a wonderful time there...regardless of what others may say a trip is what you make it, just because you read a bad review doesn't mean that your experience will be bad.

Ours was wonderful.

We just came back from a great family vacation at this hotel. I have to admit that we were a bit scare because of terrible reviews we read after we booked but we were totally surprised. We booked through Discovery Cruiseline (do not expect anything from the ship,it is not a cruise! I would say its a Ferry, just think about it as a transportation device). The stay at Viva was the best! In general, the staff was very good mostly the Animation group who make your stay really pleasant at all times. The food was very good for a buffet and their brickwood oven pizza open till 2 a.m. is awesome. Our kids had the best time ever,it is safe and they feel free to eat what they like at any time without having to ask. The watersports activities were great. The rooms were fair, very beachy, not bad at all but our restroom was in very bad shape,it is old and needs urgent remodelig, but we notice they are working on it. In general, our experience was great,we had the best family time at affordable prices. We would not hesitate to recommend it and to go back again. Ohhhh! but just do no go during College Spring Break if you are looking for peace. The staff told us it is not fun at all!!

We booked thru Cheap Caribbean. They did a reasonable job, and most things were as stated. I kept waiting for the sky to fall, but it didn't. Don't fall for the Viva Vacation Club tour and sales pitch. We thought we had an ocean-front room, but had to pay $20 more per night upon arrival. We had also requested the first floor, but were slated for the second. They changed it when we insisted. The room was very nice. The food is good, but don't expect Outback Steak House. Food is available at most times of the day, and drinks are available after 10 a.m. We found the Bahamian people to be very friendly and pleasant. The one word of warning: you will be hounded to take a tour of the Viva Vacation Club site and listen to their pitch. You will be promised beach towels, t-shirts (lots of them), hats, rum, and 2 free nites at the resort later. After the spiel, remarkably they had only 1 t-shirt, no towels, no hats, and no rum! So don't fall for that. Just go, enjoy the beach and the huge pool, and relax. There were a number of guests who had been before and could have gone elsewhere. They chose to return.
