I had such a great time I don't even know where to start! So, I had been searching for a great place to stay at a reasonable price and I remembered a friend of mine visiting the Bahamas. I also didn't want to worry about spending money on food or activities so an all-
inclusive hotel was my best option. I called up a travel agent and had Viva booked. I read the reviews for Viva and must admit I was a little hesitant about going but I thought what the heck, have an open mind. My friend and I took the cruise over to the island, which was a great ride as the food an entertainment was pretty good. When I got to the island I loved it. We got a taxi to the hotel without any issues, and the more people the taxis have to take the less you pay.
At the hotel check-in was smooth and we were able to go to our rooms right away. Of course after reading the reviews I asked to stay in the C building. But from what I saw I would recommend staying in B or C, A didn't look so great. Now the room was great and the bathroom was clean, which is the most important thing to me. We had a garden view and I loved sitting on the balcony just looking at the garden, it was just so relaxing. The only problem I had with the room was the fact that I couldn't get the shower to work that first night and having the water cut off in the middle of a shower, as well as having to take two mornings of cold showers because there was no hot water.
Now the food, was just amazing. I wasn't a fan of breakfast but the smoothies were decent. Lunch was always good, so was dinner. However, my favorite dinner experience was at the Italian Restaurant; that is a must try experience. The activities were great especially the trapezee; now you may scream your head off the first time you try the trapezee but after the 6th and 7th attempts you'll be doing tricks like a pro. Snorkeling was fun, so was sailing. I got to learn salsa and do some aerobics, play tennis and learning how to use a bow and arrow. The beach was gorgeous and it was never a hardship finding a spot on the beach. If you were ever hungry there was the Snack Bar and if it was late at night the Pizza spot was open; l absolutely loved the pizza.
One of the things I really enjoyed was the staff and the other guests. Everyone was exteremly friendly and polite. The staff made it a point to make sure you were enjoying yourself and that you were involved in all the activities. The other guests were courteous and didn't hesitate in being helpful themselves.
So, besides my terrible bathroom encounters, my 5 day 4 night stay was great. I know for a fact that I will be visiting Viva Wyndham again. Just one more thing, keep an open mind and you will be alright.
