This was the third time my husband and I have visited Andros and stayed at Seascape Inn with Mickey and Joan McGowan. Seascape Inn is a very special place. Mickey and Joan make you feel right at home. It's a very charming and relaxing atmosphere. Mickey and Joan treat their guests as if they were family, not just paying guests. It's very rare to find that these days. The food is great! Joan bakes at least three kinds of muffins each day as part of the continental breakfast (which is included in the price of the room.) Mickey is an excellent cook, and will pretty much prepare anything you want for dinner. I highly recommend Seascape Inn. My husband and I plan to return on a regular basis.

Our family went to the Seascape Inn in April. We had a terrific time. Mickey and Joan were great hosts. It was a perfect getaway. If you want to have a very relaxing private secluded vacation, this is the place. There are literally miles of deserted beaches. All the locals are very friendly. It is truly paradise.

I have stayed at Seascape 3 times and had a wonderful holiday every visit.. Joan and Mickey (Owners) are so friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The individual cabanas are private and comfortable and the food is great - My favourite is Joans bannana muffins for breakfast.. The sea is warm and the beach beautiful. They have bicycles, canoes & water toys. Snorkelling at the blue holes is a wonderful experience. (You can also scuba dive and bone fish)
I love the peace and quiet at seascape.. I would certainly recommend Seascape as a relaxing escape from city life.

“A Quiet, Laid Back Adventure”

Seascape Inn

8 Aug 2007

We wanted a laid back relaxing weekend on an Island that was mostly undeveloped in the Bahamas. We set out on an adventure to Mangrove Cay on Andros Island. We found Joan and Mickey and the Seascape Inn. Joan and Mickey along with Beebee, Benny, Magoo, and Dot were excellent hosts. Joan baked fresh pastries each morning and Mickey prepared wonderful meals (especially desserts) for lunch and dinner. They did give us directions to blue holes that we could walk and or kayak to. They also set us up with local guides. One took us to several blue holes and a reef by boat while the other took us for a walk to the caves in the “bush” of the Island. We bicycled to a hole that was more inland where we saw a green turtle. The cabins were simple and clean. We enjoyed snorkeling, riding bikes, playing cards and just hanging out. There were no surprises as Mickey sent us a letter describing what to expect and what to bring. Being July it was very hot even to us SW Floridians and we did get sunburns. This is definitely a place to get a way from it all. We found the company enjoyable, the food excellent and the prices reasonable. I would suggest that anyone going to visit the Seascape call the owners and ask about the accommodations, activities and the amenities.

Hi - Just wanted to say that we had a wonderful time at the Seascape Inn. We stayed 8 nights (June, 2007) - and we have to say - we didn't want to leave.
The McGowan’s are truly a lovely couple - who work very hard aiming to please their guests! Mickey was very accommodating in preparing our meals - as we have allergies - We have stayed at other places before and this request always seems to be an issue but not at the Seascape Inn... Joan took notes - to make sure to please!
We snorkeled daily - it was "fish central" -- took a field trip to the "back caves" - which are a real marvel - ate at a local place that Mickey suggested - rode bikes all over the Island and then at the end of each day would just sit on our deck enjoying a lovely sunset..
This is a true gem in Paradise... Very private - get away from it all place - peaceful and the Inn keepers are great!
