First of all, if you expect first class accomidations, then you do not belong in Bimini. I have stayed at the Big Game Club 6 times in 10 years. It had been 4 years since I had been there. We were there for 3 nights in mid September 2006. Accommidations were very clean and well maintiained. The rooms are very simple, but generally you come here to fish or dive...we were diving. The bar and restaurant are also clean and I found the staff to be very friendly. Water pressure was good and the showers were hot.

This is not a Marriott resort property or anything like it. There is a nice pool which we enjoyed daily after diving but it is fairly small. Grounds were well groomed by Bimini standards.

Bimini is a great place, but not for everyone. Alice Town is a simple Bahamian town. Do not expect cute shops, manicured beaches, or fancy restaurants. Do expect some of the best diving and fishing within striking distance of the east coast. And do expect that the Big Game Club will be a comfortable, but not luxurious home base.

“What a disgrace!”

Bimini Big Game Resort and Marina

Just returned from a weekend and completly agree with the water presure being non-existant! Everything was dark and dingy, the dining rooms, pool, and bedrooms look as if they haven't been remodeled (or cleaned) since the fifties. The new owner was a recluse who never even said hello even though I checked in standing next to him! I thought he was a guest until one of the staff pointed him out.
The food is dreadful, and with all the dirt and roaches I was seriously worried I'd get sick.
The place needs to be completly revamped I wouildn't send my worst enemy there!!!

It was dirty ,no water presure at all on the shower and no body to complain the reseption was closed at night. if you decide to go , you must be prepared not to be able to get a shower at all.

Big Game has undergone renovation in the past year and is doing fine. The rooms are comfortable and everything works, the food is best on the island and the views are to die for. A real bargin in off season at $135.

Bimini is a very quiet, low key island where you can really relax. No internet, cell phones don't work and newspapers are rare. This is NOT one of the crowded, tourist filled, casino resort high rise islands, so if that is what you are looking for go elsewhere.

Perfect place to rent a bicycle, go diving, fishing and walking. Beaches are pretty good, but natural with no grooming. Avoid the Anchor restaurant at the other hotel, nasty and expensive. Stick to the Big Game which has good simple food and good prices.

Enjoy the out islands

“Loved the Big Game”

Bimini Big Game Resort and Marina

Went over the Thanksgiving break. Not many boats in the Marina, definately off season. We had one of the cottages, which we had adjoining with our daughter. It was spacious and very clean. We had no complaints. The main restaurant was open only on Saturday and Sunday and the meals we had there were excellent, but the bar/restaurant was open for all meals and sitting on the balcony overlooking the bay was fantastic. The staff were all great and very helpful. Bimini is very small, so we walked everywhere, but you can rent a golf cart. There is not much here, but the people are very friendly and helpful. It was a great relaxing vacation. We had a local take us out on a small boat all around the island for 5 hours, where we saw sharks, stingrays, loads of fish in the mangroves. This was the highlight of the trip. Went on a dolphin looking trip, but there were none to see that day. Overall the island is very small, friendly, and definately make your own fun.
Taking the sea plane over was great. This was with Chalks airlines from Fort Lauderdale. It only takes 40 mins, but it's a good experience.
