The Palm Bay Beach Club was an unexpected surprise as it does not look like much from the main road. But, once inside the resort, the staff was found to be friendly and helpful and the beach side villas were very clean, well appointed and comfortable. Despite being on the windward side of the bay, the view was wonderful, especially at sunrise. This would be a great place to come with friends and explore the island.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Palm Bay Beach Club and were very satified. This is a family owend and operated hotel and we felt very comfortable with them and our surrondings. Friends of our stayed at the Four Seasons were I can say they were not as pleased as we were (besides the high $$$$$ for the room and the thousands of bug bites they got, they were about 9 miles away from us and felt very secluded.) Palm Bay is less than a mile from Georgetown (were you can buy groceries and such) the hotel offers a free shuttle both ways. The staff was very friendly. and accomidating. We stayed in room 11 and our view was looking at the bay. The room was clean, and satisfactory for our visit. We had a small kitchen area with coffee, microwave, fridge. The Restrauant food was very good, with nightly specials, and a great dessert selection. We spent several days out on the Bay with Captain Brian from Palm Bay who was very informative and a very nice person. Make sure you take a trip to Stocking Island for Conch salad or Conch burger with him. Taxis are expensive about $50-60 to go round trip to the 4 seasons, $30 to the airport (4miles away). We rented scooters for a day and were able to see most of the island and some of the beaches.

“Third time at Palm Bay”

Palm Bay Beach Club

I have just returned from my third stay at Palm Bay. It had been more that a year since my last and I was really impressed with the work and upgrades to the hotel. Internet in the rooms Starfish activities center on site and car rental across the road. The food was great and I think by far the best place to eat on the island. the rooms are spotless and the beach cleaned every day. The thing I always can't get over when I stay at Palm Bays is how friendly everyone on the island is one of my favorite places to visit.
Don't miss a trip to the Fish Fry down the road
We had three great days fishing with Bonefish Stevie [-] highly recomended if you are traveling to Exuma for bones. Good people great place to stay and I can't wait for my next trip back!

“Wonderful improvements at Palm Bay”

We just arrived home from our third stay at Palm Bay in less than three years. As always, our stay was relaxing and stress free. Waking up each morning to the crystal clear waters of Elizabeth Harbor and the lush green of the tropical landscapes around the villas, with a cup of fresh coffee brewed in my own kitchen... Who could ask for more?

It has been so wonderful to watch the resort grow and mature with each new visit. There are some wonderful improvements in the past 9 months since our last visit... The beach was the first and most noticeable change. With the tropical storm that just passed through, it changed the shoreline somewhat and offered a wonderful opportunity for Palm Bay to increase the size of their beach without disturbing the natural environment around the resort and in the bay. There is now a tractor that turns the sand daily to clean and maintain the beach, and keep the sand flies from hatching. The pool/ beach entrance has been moved in order to stop the sand blowing up into the pool area, so the pool is crystal clear now. There is now wireless internet throughout the resort, although taking a computer was absolutely out of the question for me, I was going there to free myself of everything stressful! On the two occasions I wished to use the computer the new computer alcove in the main lobby served my needs more than adequately. The front desk will now arrange various water activities, one being a water shuttle over to Stocking Island, a very convenient and inexpensive service that we took advantage of on our last day there.

We stayed in a two bedroom unit once again, and found it was impeccably clean, well stocked and the maid service was wonderful. They even washed our dishes when I left breakfast bowls in the sink as we were in a rush to get out diving. The professionalism exhibited by the staff and management of Palm Bay is equal or superior to any I have experienced elsewhere on Exuma.

I cant say enough about how wonderfully peaceful and unstressed our time on Exuma is. Thank You to Ron and Bette, Wade and Bev. They have made it possible for us to find the place where "heaven meets earth" and begin our own island dreams of building a home there.

We are actually just finishing our holiday at Palm Bay and I am writing this review on my laptop in our room as all the rooms have wireless internet.

I must say that we have had a fantastic time as the resort is so freindly quaint and relaxing,

If you walk for 3 mins along the beach you enter what I can honestly describe as one of the best beaches I have ever experienced it is a beautiful sheltered bay that has pure white
gently shelving sand, the water is calm warm and safe, most of the time you have the whole bay to yourself.

The one bed villa we are staying at is on the hillside with breathtaking views out to Stocking Island and only a one minute
walk from the beach and resort facilities.

The food in the restaurant is superb if a little limited, but the restaraunt is shortly to have a complete new extensive menu

Don't miss the Sunday trip to Chat N Chill on Stocking Island the food is great.

Don't come here if you want lots of boozy nightlife but if you want to chill out in paradise then this is the place for you.
