Rock House deserves all superlatives. Harbor Island is a little utopia of lovely people and Rock House is open and embracing. I loved my stay there. For such a place $400/night is a bargain, honest. If I could afford to live here permanently I would. Enough said.

We are late writing this review late -- we stayed at the Rock House over Thanksgiving this year and had a fantastic five nights.
I am reluctant to admit this because we don't want anything to change for next year, but this hotel was THE PERFECT place to be for Thanksgiving -- not heavily booked that week, and the service by the Rock House staff all week was incredible. Our Thanksgiving dinner at the Hotel restaurant was by far the most delicious Thanksgiving meal we have ever had.

To begin with, Harbour Island is an incredible place, and this was our third time vacationing there. We previously stayed at Coral Sands, which we also enjoyed very much. But the Rock House is definitely taking it up a few notches. The setting of the hotel is spectacular, with a number of the rooms looking right out over the arriving and departing boats on the Bay. Beautiful sunsets every day to be observed from the balcony of your room, unwinding after a day at the beach.

It takes about 60 seconds to drive your golf cart from the Hotel to the beach, where the Rock House has one of the nicest sections of Harbour Island's incredible beach reserved for its guests, with the most comfortable beach chairs. Each morning, the Rock
House staff places a cooler by your beach chairs with ice, bottled waters, beers (if you want them) and a picnic lunch (if you want it).

The service at the Rock House is fantastic (which is not always the case in the Bahamas, even at the nicer hotels) and they know by the second day what drinks to bring you when you are lounging by their beautiful pool. They treat guests like royalty, and though their amazing restaurant is frequently booked, their guests can always ensure themselves a table, even if they ask late in the day.

The rooms are beautiful, with a lot of attention to detail and comfort.

We will definitely be coming back! (and apologies to Wallace, Don and all the Rock House's wonderful staff for writing this review so late!).

we had one of our best holidays ever at the rock house thanks to the owners who care for you in a very professional way with a very personal touch. In addition the rooms are perfectly decorated and you have excellent service like in five star hotels.
At the beach you find at the best location next to Sip Sip comfortable chairs and water is provided.
The best is the restaurant. Wonderful location and the best food of the island!! Breakfast is ok but could be improved.We hope to get back very soon.

We heard the buzz, read the tripadvisor reviews and saw the New York Times article about Habour Island and vicinity. The bottom line: Our visit exceeded our (sky-high) expectations. The room was fantastic, including a very nice balcony. The food was even better than we had been led to believe it would be. The service was incomparable -- no stone was left unturned and no need went unmet. The location near the shopping area by the harbor and within a short walk of the best ocean beach (and cleanest water!) I've ever experienced was perfect. We wanted a small/exclusive place that would pamper us and we got so much more than we expected. I have a strict "no rerun" policy on vacations, but we are going to make an exception in order to go back to Rock House.
