Very nice hotel. Not really great for small children. More business like adults. I have absolutely no complaints about this hotel.

I recently traveled to Monterrey for the first time. I'm always nervous about travel in Mexico but the Presidente was a fine hotel at a decent price. Many of the staff speak fluent English for those of us who or language challenged. The room was fabulous and the food was awesome. I will stay here again on future visits.

The hotel is in a good location to find places to eat, shop, and site see. The cable system has English speaking channels that include shows from all the networks (NBC, ABC, WB, etc.). The hotel has nice swimming pool and tennis court. The sports bar is lively.
RECOMMENDED: Mini-review as my business stay was only 1 night. Check-in was friendly and quick, staff during the entire time seemed eager to serve but not in your face friendly. I was upgraded to a patio room and allowed to check-in at 11 a.m.. Room was very large, clean and in general good repair. Bathroom was well illuminated, marble/tile and good amenities. Bedding of good quality and room was quiet. Taxi to airport was US$24, ~ 40 min and arranged and paid on hotel bill. This is a fairly pricey hotel but it meet all my expectations for the price.

I had the occasion to stay at Presidente for one week on business. Monterrey, while the third largest city in Mexico, is not what one would consider a tourist destination, and to a large degree, this is reflected in the hotel's amenities, or lack thereof. If your experience of Mexico is the luxe resort in a tourist destination, then you will be disappointed in the small pool, which is indoors with a greenhouse-style enclosure, and the very modest "spa" facilities and gym. If, however, you are in Monterrey for business, then you cannot go wrong in terms of the impeccable service and excellent food. The staff are exceptional from the multitude of lobby bell boys to the maids who keep your room spotless to the wait staff in the restaurant who anticipate each need. We hosted a group of Mexican university professors and their students and had two dinners for approximately 50 prepared over the course of the week. Food was outstanding and abundant and varied. Eating in the restaurant, the buffets were elegant and lush, whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Have a drink in the lobby bar area when the jazz musicians play. Unbelievable. You will not starve and had better make use of the gym or you will return home quite a bit heavier. The rooms were reasonably-well appointed, but not European classy. They are large with a separate sitting room. The bathroon, as with anything in Monterrey, is done in gorgeous marble or granite. An ethernet cable hooks you in free of charge to do all your work on your laptop in your room. Alternately, if you need a business center, it is huge, with conference rooms, a sitting room, and computers for use at no charge.
