First of all, I dont see how Las Torres Gemelas was really that bad. My parents, my brother and sister were wondering how it would be after all these different complaints and reviews. I, personally enjoyed it. Sure we stayed at more expensive hotels before, but this one was nice too. My parents were in a different hotel room than us becasue they would not accept more than 4 people all in one room. Yet, there were many, many soccer ball players (Mexican children) who all shared one room. That really upset my mother that they were allowed to have all those people in one room. But, above my parents' room, on the next level, were many noisy children who loved bouncing balls on the ground, which was like their ceiling. My mom went up there to tell them to stop bouncing the ball and it was very hard to communicate with them since almost none of them spoke english. They just said that they dont have a ball which really got my mom frusturated. My mom and dad tried calling the lobby to tell them about the problems (becasue the next night they could hear the bouncing again). They said that they would send up the security. That didnt happen. My dad went down and someone finally came. The noise stopped. They next morning the noise woke my parents up at 7:00 am. They loved sleeping in at least on vacations when they didnt have to get up to go to work. Thankfully, above my room, there were quieter kids. The food was absolutely delicious for my parents. They said that it tasted very natural, like when they lived in Europe. I stuck with most of the Canadian/American dishes (e.g. hot dogs, french fries, soup). But I did think the food was okay overall. My parents thought the food was great and recommended it to our friends, which did not like it as much. I think that it depended on your personal tastes. And there was a snack bar which was open for a really long time each day. There were enough games and activites to have fun with. There is also a kind of water fall which if you lose a game, you have to jump (not including the little children). That was really fun. You could also jump if you were just going swimming. But my sister got an ear ache and we thought that it was from the pool water. My dad and I also say one little girl go pee right next to/into the smaller pool which had water circulating in the larger pool too. My brother made really good friends which the boy who worked at the cyber cafe. The all inclusive plan included unlimited internet access, if the computers were unoccupied. He showed my brother interesting sites and different things on the computer. The beach was almost completely private, preventing any beggars and sales people from coming. The reason for this was the big rocks. And some girls who braided our hair said that they were not allowed to cross. The beach was at times rough, but you could borrow life jackets. Every day the weather was hot hot hot! It even rained once at night. This hotel also had a disco/cactus bar which had different events at time. Acapulco is great to see at night when the parties start. If you spend all your time sleeping at night, you loose out on a lot of fun! At Christmas, Santa came and delivered some candy. There were fireworks at Christmas as well. The rooms were okay and service was nice. I would definetly come back and we are almost surely coming back to Acapulco becasue of the guarenteed wonderful weather.
