My 9 yr. old daughter and myself went to the Dolphin Cove Inn on Feb 26-March 23, 2008. My parent's live in mexico and this was a vacation of a life time. They rented a 2 bedroom 2 bath with Kitchen and Livingroom, perfect!! This all white Hotel and Condo was a perfect setting looking off of our double terrace out over the bay. Getting up early to see the mountains covered with the best sunrise I have ever seen. The service is excellent!! The Paradise Rest. and Pool bar have wonderful and tasty food for all. My special thanks to Soko, Fernando, Claudia, Jose and to the office staff. You made our trip great. I felt like I had made friends for life. The beach is small, but staying at the Dolphin Cove you get a free pass to Las Hadas right next door. The Dolphin Cove beach has lounge chairs and umbrellas for you and they provide you with huge beach towles. The beach is great for swimming and taking a stroll and the best thing is, you can find all kinds of shells. We did this a lot, so relaxing. If you get to get a chance, go to Barra De Navidid. It's about a 45 min. ride to the village. Get on one of the fishing boats for about $3.00 a person for a quaint ride to Mary's Rest. for lunch or dinner. It is well worth the trip. Back to Dolphin Cove, you can wait for a bus to pick you up and take you to town or to the public beach. Lot's of vendors selling Mexican items. The food is great, must eat at Taiblos on the beach, they will cater to your every needs. I warn you about the long steps at the Dolphin Cove, up and down to everything. Great exercise!! Don't fret to much, just call the front desk and they will pick you up with the Golf cart. My Mom stumped her toe and we had service for her. The pool at the Dolphin Cove is wonderful too. My daughter had fun sliding down the slide and made lots of friends. Pink flowers are abundant around the property, so pretty. I will be back to the Dolphin Cove next year. Great for family's, Honeymoon, and people on the go or just relaxing. lot's to do.

We had booked a 4* hotel in Ixtapa (Qualton club), we were sooooooooooooooooo disappointed we rented a car and hit the road. We had no map, and didin't know well Mexico. Got arrested twice by the army, got 2 flat tires and a giant cold soar! we finally stopped at a computer café and printed out a map, checked for a close by hotel and wrote down the adress of Dolphin's cove.
We arrived there at 10 at night, it was beautiful, i did not want to sleep- the view from our terrasse was just spectacular, could not wait to see it in the morning!
The linens were confortable and smelled soooo nice.
all was clean, and decorated like someone had lived here.Yhe pool, the staff, the restaurant, the beach, everything was perfect. I am a 38 years old woman and warned my family is i get ill, i want to finish it off here in paradise. Do not hesite a bit. i've traveled alot and finally found my cloud!

Pictures on hotel sight very accurate. Loved this place. Friendly, serene, and beautiful. Stayed 2 weeks in one bedroom unit with double balcony. Great Mexican decor.

While it is true that there are hundreds of steps, as a weight watcher, this was perfect. Loved the restaurant and misbehaved on excellent shrimp and blackberry margaritas but steps worked it all off.

There are some repair issues (watch the washer temperature and microwave time) but did not distract from the overall perfection of the trip.

True that maids are not consistent, but it did not interfere with our enjoyement.

Got free passes to Karmina and Hadas at the desk.

Plan to return and may stay a month.

Dolphin Cove, In Manzanillo, is a wonderful, restful condo-resort. It's the best Mexico vacation I've taken. The resort owners were such gracious hosts, the atmosphere is so relaxing in a beautiful setting of colorful gardens and extremely comfortable units. I'll be returning soon. Thanks so much to everyone there for a wonderful stay.

Just returned again from a stay at the Dolphin Cove Inn, Manzanillo, Mexico. Again, our stay did not disappoint us! The reason we returned to this hotel and this area of Mexico was because we did not want to be part of a "tourist trap". We wanted to "live" our vacation. Do what we wanted when we wanted!!! This year we upped our vacation time to 3 weeks!

The rooms at the Dolphin Cove Inn are clean, spacious, and have a nice Mexican touch to them. The showers always have HOT water and the pressure in the shower is just great!!! Of course the beds are a little hard (just like all Mexican beds) and the pillows a little lumpy!!! The view from the rooms is absolutely spectacular and you can wake/sleep to the sound of the ocean.. How perfect!

The pool area is never really busy so you dont have to set that alarm clock and get up 4:00 a.m. to GET A CHAIR. You can go any time of the day and find a choice spot. Some days you just might be the only one at the pool! :)

If repairs are needed in your room, the service/attention is given quickly and efficiently. Our fridge was not working and once we reported it, it was less than 2 hours and it was fixed. While the fellow was in our room, he noticed our bathroom door knob was loose and fixed it --- without being told!!! How nice!

If we were not satisfied with anything, we just needed to voice our dissatisfaction --- and a solution was found immediately!

The Dolphin Cove Inn and its staff are truly genuinely caring, competent people. Special notice must be given to Isisis, who works in the office. Her cheerful mannerism and the efficiency she brings to the patrons of the Cove is truly commendable! Thank you Isisis for serving us well! Also, to mention are two people who served us in the Paradise Restaurant (Dolphin Cove Inn) --- they were Secorro and Rubin. Their every day smile and just plain good service, were appreciated.

If you want a five star resort, with blaring music, huge swimming pools, and young activitiy directors yelling at you all day long - please stay away from this hotel. This hotel is about peacefulness, quietness, and slow paced. This is a place to grab your book, do some meditation, or just sit there and watch the ocean (you may see a Dolphin or two).

Please note: This hotel has numerous stairs leading to various levels (the restaurant, swimming pool and to hotel rooms). If you are not able to negotiate stairs, this place is not for you. There are no elevators. If you want to get in better shape, try running the stairs to your room every day --- they will kill what ails you!!!!

Again, another peaceful quiet vacation all because of the Dolphin Cove Inn and this location!
