This hotel is on terrible and very dangerous dirt road about 30 miles from the Golden Zone in Mazatlan. My husband and I took a taxi to this hotel. The taxi cost was $60 because this hotel is so far from Mazatlan. When we arrived we were told that there was no one to check us into a room (no lobby or front desk) so we decided to have the taxi driver wait while we had lunch.
They claimed to be out of everything we tried to order off the menu. We finally settled for a $15 Mexican plate and a $3 beer. It was terrible!
We were told that the owner is very sick and cannot maintain the hotel and that no more than a dozen rooms were rented all last year. This place is scarry during the day. I could not imagine staying there overnight!

We have been many times to Mazatlan, but this time a friend told us about visiting Hacienda Las Moras. I just want to share with everyone the best experience my friends and I have had in many years. This 1830 restored Hacienda is the most beautiful place I have ever seen, the beautiful buganbilias, the real mexican architecture, the real mexican food, the best service made our entire trip. We also went horseback riding and saw all the beautiful natural landscape that is around the Hacienda. If you want to enjoy a beautiful place next time you are in Mazatlan be sure you go and spend a day or a week at this beautiful place.

On april 16th 2004 we visited the Hacienda For a wedding , 1,300 peopel sit down dinner, live music, fireworks and a wonderfull time. the next several days we relaxed and found the Hacienda to be very relaxing, the horses were in excelent condition and very well keeped. My children took day trips and found it to be a great event. We recomend this very special place to people that enjoy going back in time. The place is so well presuved that its impresive to say the least. Martin Gomzales, San juan Capistrano

“They don't take care of the horses”

They did not feed the horses or even water them. I was on a cruise and Tropical Tours (land handler) told us that the horses would be fun to ride in the foothills.....BIG disappiontment the horses were all to skinny. We DO NOT recomend this tour. We believe that someone should contact the animal crulety groups if there is one..... We let Tropical Tours know how we felt and are telling are friends about this. They seemed like they didn't care.

I have been reading this bad report on our horses for two years now. Things have change!!!!! I will like to invite everybody to come to Hacienda Las Moras and check our new managment and see how good our horses look. We have some new horses, a vet. that comes regularly to check them, a staff only for our stables and that is because our animals are our priority. We have more peacocks, sheeps, lambs, pigs, chickens, ducks and they all look beautiful and healthy.
