We booked a very inexpensive vacation (6days) to this hotel. There were 4 of us with 2 rooms. Ours were suppose to be the cheapo rooms. We were delighted with our rooms over looking the pool with a nice view of the ocean.Both rooms were fairly big. The rooms were very clean and kept that way by the maid service. The shower had the most force of any shower I've ever used. There was never a lack of hot water. In maybe 15 trips to Mexico my biggest gripe has been many times the lack of towels or being very thin. These towels were better than at home, very thick.plus washcloths (something usually missing in hotels). Fresh soap,shampoo,conditioner,face and body conditioner. The hallways and grounds were always clean. In talking to the other 3 people with me, we would gladly return to this fine hotel.

I just returned from 3 weeks in Mazatlan. What a great time! This was my third time to Mazatlan but my first time at Los Sabalos. I will definitely stay at this resort again. The view from my 7th floor room was spectacular. The room was large, clean, and very comfortable. The buildings, grounds, and common areas were always being maintained and cleaned. What was most impressive about this resort was how friendly and helpful all the staff were. The food and service were great at the Beach Grill and at Cowboy. The beach bar, Las Gaviotas, was so much fun! Thank you to the manager, Jose, for making my stay so comfortable. Thank you also to Jesus, Olga, Junior, Juan, Adan, Veronica, Carlos and Elio for making my time at Los Sabalos so wonderful and memorable. I can’t wait to go back in November.

We traded a timeshare through interval international, so we got a two bedroom suite. The accommodations were old, but very comfortable and the view was phenomenal from our unit. This is one of the most affordable vacations I have ever taken. For example, I got a one hour massage for $25. There were four in our party and we went to the Shiek one night, which is supposed to be one of the higher end restaurants in mazatlan, and we hads wine, flaming entrees desserts, etc. Our total bill was around $150. Another recommendation is to take an open air taxi to Playa Bruha on the north end for the best shrimp you will ever have. El centro and the cliff divers were fun too. I would pass on Stone Island, as the beach is all they really have and that is available at Los Sabalos. Overall, the only downside to mazatlan was the beach vendors who can be very persistant and annoying. We loved it and will return!

The building, swimming pool, and the location are great. It is close to fiestaland, and it have really good prices ... but their best asset is the customer service... It's the perfect place for a relaxing and enjoyable vacations.
