Have stayed here 12 times for 2 wks. at a time in last 15 yrs. Great for a Mexican style hotel, but definitely not a 5-star resort. Great location in middle of Golden Zone, best beach in Mazatlan, friendly staff, clean suites all facing the ocean, extremely reasonable with additional $50 per week in bar credit, & food discounts, too. Dislikes: hard beds (but they are everywhere else, too), non-heated pool (no other hotels heat their pools, either), and microwaves not in most suites, making it hard to reheat food from the doggy bags.

Just got back from a weeks stay at Las Flores and overall we were pleased with the hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly and Adriana at the front desk remembered my name every time I went to the front desk. The rooms were nice, nothing fancy but livable. We booked a studio room with a kitchenette and a balcony ovelooking the ocean. It had a great view of the ocean and the three islands. It was great to watch the sunsets from the balcony.
My biggest complaint was the noise coming into the room. All rooms have the entry door facing the busy and noisy street and the balconies facing the ocean. The streets are busy til early in the morning. If you leave your airconditioner on all night it covers almost all of the street noise. The main noise, however came throught the walls and ceiling. It sounded like Godzilla was walking around in the room above ours. And our room, #809, had an adjoing door between our room and #808. It was just one thin door and you could hear conversations between the guests in the next room. We were 'fortunate' to have two small children in the room next to ours that yelled and cried all evening until around midnight all weekend long. Unfortunately, the airconditioner could not cover that up. Perhaps they have rooms without the doors that are quieter. I would recommend that you request one if they do.
The pools, they have two, were small but nice. They allow non-hotel guests to swim in the pools so they were usually full of kids. Guests of the Las Flores Hotel have to wear a wristband, whether you are all-inclusive or not, so it was easy to tell if all the people in the pool were locals or guests.
I am not trying to talk you out of staying here, as it is not really all that bad, however, you should be aware of the down sides so you can decide if you can live with it or not.

“A Happy Surprise!!”

Las Flores was a happy surprise! We had always stayed at other hotels in the Golden Zone in the past, but this year stayed at the Las Flores. Wow! It’s nice! The rooms were clean and well equipped. The staff spoke perfect English and was always pleasant and helpful. If you get an ocean front room you’ll be treated to the famous Mazatlan sunsets and be lulled to sleep every night by the waves lapping at the shore. The affordable pricing is what brought us to Las Flores, but the wonderful hospitality is what will keep us coming back. I highly recommend our ‘home away from home’ to others who want to enjoy staying in the heart of the Golden Zone!

We visited the Hotel Suites Las Flores (beach resort) from April 11 - 22. We were there for the motorcycle week, to be tourists, and, to visit friends and family in Mazatlan. We (along with dozens of others) parked our bike out in front of the lobby with no worries whatsoever. The Security team, bellmen, and quite frankly all of the Hotel staff are top-notch. It also seems that each and every time we visit, the staff has learned more English - which should make it much more pleasant for any non-Spanish speaking folks. Also, special kudos to our maid "Irma" (on the 4th floor.) She was FABULOUS!

The buildings themselves have been kept in good shape, with any needed repairs or updates being taken care of along the way. As always, the views and ambiance from the individual balconies - and the Hotel as a whole - are extremely breathtaking. And what a great location! The property is close to everything, very convenient, and an easy walk to pretty much anywhere you need to go. The rooms themselves are equipped with every amenity needed, and just in case you forget your hairdryer, or need an iron - well, they'll provide that too!

In our humble opinion, this place has it ALL! One could not ask for more - especially considering the great price. We LOVE this place!

Got back last week from an 8-day stay at Las Flores--two adults and a 11-year old. We all had a wonderful time! The hotel was not fancy,
but had everything we needed-plus a separate small kitchen and sitting area. Every room had an ocean view. Staff was very helpful and friendly, and not overly push on any timeshare sell. Nice and quiet at night. Good food, friendly service, great beach and great location. We would definately go back!
