Overall our stay was alright. The hotel wasn't the greatest but we didn't stay much at the resort. The rooms themselves were great. We somehow got upgrated into a suit on the top floor so the view was amazing. We spent a lot of time just sitting on our balcony. After visiting the hotel site off of the Signature Vacations web site, we expected more from the hotel. We were quite dissapointed. There were no activities during the day. There was supposed to be spanish lessons, dancing lessons and more. Also, there was no nightly entertainment. Someone from the "activity" crew (whom I caught sleeping a few times) sent us to a hotel for a mexican fiesta and when we got there, there was nothing going on. Also, there was suppose to be non motorized sports, but they didn't have that either. The hotel only has a buffet. If you order from the menu, you had to pay more. There was supposed to be an a-la-carte restaurant, but it doesn't exist. The meals were very repetitive and everything seemed to taste the same. It didn't matter if you had the beef...or chicken... Least to say, we ate out a lot. We were careful with what we ate and drank so no one got sick. I'd return again to Mazatlan. There's still a lot I didn't see. I'm not sure if I'd stay at the same place again. It wasn't bad but I'm sure there are better places out there.

“Absoluty Terrible”

Luna Palace Hotel

We just returned from a week at this dump. The "ONLY" positve thing that I can say is that the suites were big with good views. The hotel was understaffed, untrained and over worked. The description of the hotel is misleading to say the least. There is only one place to eat and the "buffet" (for a lack of a better word) choices were limited and it didn't matter what they served, it was "cold". They say they have an all inclusive menu...they do, you just can't order from it. Snack bar? Looked for it, never did find it!!! If you want good food go across the street to Heather's Place. Good service, good food, good prices!!!
There was no entertainment, no water sports and no service. The bar service was terrible!!! No supplies on a daily basis and in fact, one day it didn't open up until 1 in the afternoon. I brought up our groups concerns and the management did nothing to rectify anything. In fact, it seemed to get worse. The rooms appear clean until you take a closer look. The maids did the bare minimum to say the least. Getting clean towels on a regular basis was a challenge. It appears that the problems at this hotel are compounded by the the staff from Signature vacations. They were never there and when we complained nothing was done. I will never recommend this hotel or SIGNATURE to anyone!

We took our staff of 9 employees to the Luna Palace for Christmas. The Hotel and location was beautiful. Good thing we had low
expectations because it was better than we anticapated.

The Rooms were nice clean, big (we found out theres a extra charge for
puking in your bed.)TOO much TEQUILLA!!!!

Sore back from the beds. Beautiful view from balcony. It was low season so it was extremly quiet. The buffet was closed and it had one Ala Carte Restaurant. With a very small menu. Food was OK if you liked
clubhouses. The bOOZE POURED UNLIMITED. The beer was always cold and the bartenders were lots of fun. The pool was nice and warm. Lots of fish action on the ocean(we seen a huge whale). In all it was Great for a 3 STAR holiday (REMEBER 3STAR RATED MEXICAN is NOt The same standards of 3Star Canadian! But go with an open and optimistic mind and you'll have an AWESOME time!

Good things: rooms were clean!! and very very beautiful....all rooms are facing the ocean and ours had an AMAZING view!!! I went with three 20 year old girls a week after spring break and there wasnt as many young people as we would have liked...:( But if you are planning a family vacation this is the perfect place for you!! If i could do it again i would not go all inclusive.. the food kinda sucked!! not too bad though if you went right at the start, and oh they make anything that you want if oyu just ask! There is a ton of restaurants around it and they all have really good food. I encourage you to go down to the markets and see what mexico is really about, and oh the bus!! cheapest way to get around. Even if you arent yound get a hold of studen tours, they are usually walkign up and down the beaches with flyers... they charge 200 pasos ($20 can.) for all you can drink at a different bar in mexico everynight!! realyl really fun! warning again this place isnt all about the parties, so if your young i would recomend cancun or somewhere else but couples and families this is the place for you!!

My sister and I have been coming to the luna palace for many years.
This year we were here for a family vacation ,my daughter and grandaughter and 2 friends stay at the peublo bonito (we own there).
My sister and i stay at the luna for 2 weeks and in that 2 weeks , we did not get clean sheets ,but the maid did turn the bottom sheet around to the other side. How do i know, because i had a cut and some blood got on the sheet. To do that ,why not just change it.Do the maids get a deal if they can get away with it?
The activities have not happened in the last 4 times here (&we always stay for 2 weeks)and the buffet was at best ,aweful.
I was told by one of the staff ,that the principal owner had died and the children were taking over, if that was the case, they need to take a look at what was working before and change it back.Even on the web page it says that we could go to the oceano and dine there but when we asked it was"NO"we couldn't
