we just returned from using our new timeshare for the first time and are ecstatic with our purchase.

it was friendly and the gardens were like an oasis in a concret jungle.

the units are very spacious and could be lived in permanently with great air circulation

the beach was great, and we caught the Mexcican buses in to town regualrly for 5 pesos.

We just returned from Thanksgiving week at El Rancho. We have been staying here every other year for about 13 years. By we, I mean my wife and our children and grand children. We usually use 5 to 10 condos. Sometimes friends travel with us and the group gets a little larger. As you can see we are a big family. This year we had 44 people at Thanks Giving Dinner. The hotel lets us use the Patio in the project for our group prepared dinner. The hotel provided tables, chairs and table cloths. We enjoy having the employees stop by and pick up a plate of food. This is a small condo project with just 28 units, a pool, a small restaurant overlooking the beach, (Lupita is a great cook). They just added a 2nd hot tub. We like El Rancho because of it's small size, beautiful landscaping, quiet enviornment and the fact that it is adjacent to a beautiful, family friendly beach. There are lots of things to do in Mazatlan but the family prefer to spend most of the time at the Villas, either in the pool or on the beach. Our children even know all the venders on the beach and have become very good bargainers. The Villas are clean two story spanish style with 2 Bedrooms and 2 baths, Kitchen, dining area, and living room. We enjoy the peace and quiet and the time with our family. We will go back next Thanksgiving and hope to see the friends we make each year.

I spend some days with my friends in the hotel „El Rancho Villas“. It has been a wonderful and relaxing trip witch all of use enjoyed a lot. The hotel offers everything we needed and is a good place for relaxing and recharging the batteries. Close to the sea and with nice pools. The rooms are clean and everything is really nice and relaxing.
We spend perfect days there and for sure I can recommend it for everybody how looks for something different than the big hotels towers witch you can find everywhere.

A nice quiet resort located on the beach with two bedroom villas complete with kitchenette. The accomodations were nice; however, the facilities closed early. The restaurant, bar, pool, and office closed at 9:00pm. El Rancho is located north of town and there are not too many restaurants within walking distance. This appears to be changing soon, as there is a lot of development going on in the immediate vicinity. The restaurant at the resort, La Fonda, has a limited menu but it is good. We enjoyed the parrillada: lobster, shrimp, and a fillete.

Transportation to town is readily available, taxi or bus. We found the bus system to be very reasonable, cost wise 8 pesos, as well as air conditioned, a plus in August. Taxis are numerous but remember to agree to a price before getting into a cab. This includes the tip.

All in all, El Rancho is an ideal spot if you want to get away from it all and let time and tide pass by.
