The best B&B in Mexico! Moe, Dorothy and Zoe are perfect hosts.
Their home is in a perfect location, short walk to the Golden zone.
The food is wonderful and the beds are perfect! What else can I say!

“The Best In Mazatlan”

Captain Moe's Bed and Breakfast

This is one of the friendliest B&Bs I have ever used. Moe and Dorothy make you feel totally at home and can tell you all the good and bad sites in Mazatlan. Rooms are great, food is wonderful and the free phone calls are a very welcome luxury (along with wireless). Been staying in Mazatlan ofr over 10 years and just mad that I didn't know about them sooner. Close to the beach and all the restaurants in the Golden Zone.

My wife & I spent a week at Moe and Dorthy's in mid Feb. Right from the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home and knew we had come to the right spot.Great location, clean rooms, wonderful hosts...too much food for breakfast! We really enjoyed hearing Moe and Dorthys tales and meeting other quests. Breakfast was a very social event with neighbours & friends dropping by as well.Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone and would return in a second.

“Comfortable homey with excellent host & hostess”

Captain Moe's Bed and Breakfast

We stayed three nights and enjoy the atmosphere, hospitality and comfort.

Great way to begin our Mazatlan vacation in relaxed atmosphere in the middle of town. We walked to resturants and took the bus to see the sights.

Can only say positive about the facility and our hosts. In addition coffee and fruit were always available, not just breakfast.

Thank Moe and Dorothy for your hospitality.

“A B&B that sets the standard in Mexico”

We recently enjoyed and delightful 6 day stay with Captain Moe, Dorothy and Zoe, their Jack Russell. They are located on a quiet residential street in the Golden Zone very convenient to restaurants, activities, and bus lines.

All the spotlessly clean rooms open into a quiet garden courtyard and have very comfortable beds (not common in Mexico). A large roof deck with tables, chairs, and huge swing offer a quiet place to relax or talk with other guests while enjoying a drink. The views of the ocean at sunset are stunning. There are free phone calls to North America and internet access.

Captain Moe's seems to be the home base for many local ex-pats, and winter residents who stop by for a cup of coffee and chat in the morning which we really enjoyed.

Fresh fruit, coffee and munchies are always available. Breakfast with hummingbirds and orioles at a large table in the garden courtyard was delicious and included juice, bagels, cream cheese, yogurt and cereal. Self-prepared omelets and ham were also there if you wanted.

There is a large cooler stocked with soft drinks and beer to enjoy on the honor system. The courtyard garden is perfect for a brew in the evening after a hard day shopping or at the beach. Moe buys your first beer on arrival !!

With our hosts, and anther couple staying there B&B, we all jumped in Moe's van and went downtown to the shrimp lady where we bought 2 kilos of fresh shrimp and took it to a small restaurant were they prepared it to order and served us. We never would have found this on our own.

If you want to enjoy Mazitlan without the glitter and time share salesmen at the big hotels - and yes, in many restaurants, this is the place to be. Moe and Dorothy recommended places where the sea food is outstanding and reasonable, and atmosphere is authentic. This was our home away from home.

Moe and Dorothy offer the best things in life - good conversation, great food, comfortable and spacious accommodations. We felt more like family than guests. Phil and Carol
