This place is awesome! I have stayed at several places in the United States as well as in Mexico and this is the best hotel I have EVER stayed in. When I opened the door and entered the room, i felt like i was in my own home. The flat screen TV, IPOD docking station and the great designer touches in the room.
The room was spacious. The bathroom unbelievable, The showerhead is like being under a rainfall.

When you go to Mexico Stay at the Hippodrome!

“Refreshing small hotel in trendy Condesa”

Hippodrome Hotel

After having dinner at The Hip Kitchen (chef Richard Sandoval's latest Mex/fusion spot) in the hotel in January we were looking forward to staying in one of the rooms. Just returned and found it very refreshing. I want to point out that they are in a "soft" opening stage with only a few rooms available so there are some minor issues that will be fixed in the next few weeks. Otherwise, the rooms are beautiful and the staff very warm and friendly (all font desk people speak English). Ipod docking station and flat screen tv with cable (of course). Great neighborhood near the big parks and all the trendy Condesa places. We normally stay at the Condesa DF down the street but the Hippodrome is much smaller and more intimate which we liked. Tom the owner was always present to make sure everything was taken care of. He has worked with Ian Schrager in the past but this is his baby now. While we were there we saw more than a few famous faces eating at the restaurant and checking out the hotel. I see big things for this small place in the future.
